You still can use your old "The Request" data files and of course your old DreamRequest v1.0 design/config files. zod/lsd'1995-1996 - Dont let AMIGA die! @endnode @node "Configuration" "Configuration" Configuartion ¯ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ¯ The PrefsEditor: ---------------- There are several string gadgets, the first five define some files needed for running (at least one is needed). You may select em via a filerequest too. Try the small Button on the right side of the gadgets. Data File Name : The name of your data file. Ex-/X sysops should not forget that they can CONTINUE using the old REQUEST v1.0 Datafile. So NO requests will get lost. Name Message File : The name of your message design file. It contains the design of the message that DreamRequest(tm) will send. As you'r accustomed to do, there are the following Keywords available (they are *NOT* CASESENSITIVE) °UserName ....................... what do you think? °Location ................ maybe the users location? °FileDescription .......... nah still havent got it? °UserComment1 .......... ok, these are the two lines °UserComment2 ............. of the "big" usercomment °UserComment3 ....................... Of course you can use ANSI codes in the Design file, but make sure that you DONT use, e.g.: ESC[0m°ESC[36mUserNameESC[0m but: ESC[36m°UserNameESC[0m (only this will work in connection with keywords) Name Header File : The Header of your Request Bulletin, if you dont specify one, noone will be used ... its so easy Name Tail File : The Tail part of your Request Bulletin, for the rest look above Name Bull File : The name of the Bull DreamRequest(tm) can create, e.g. use fame:conferences/requests/bull100.txt so that your users see the Request Bulletin when they join the request conf (here located in "fame:conferences/requests/") Message Subject : The subject of the DreamRequest(tm) message. If you specify EALL or ALL, DreamRequest(tm) will drop the message as PUBLIC msg, if you e.g. specify a special user for recieving the messages (why ever ... ), they will be dropped as PRIVATE. Separator : This is the small separator beetween entrys in the Bulletin File. To get the escape code (for colors etc) in the gui (in every gui) try L.Amiga+CTRL+ESC DelAccess : Here you can specify the access needed to delete every Message(maybe sysop level). Dont forget that every user can delete HIS requests, even if he DONT has the DelAccess Level Post To Conf : Conf Number to which DreamRequest(tm) will post the Request Message Maybe you have recognized that there are three more buttons: ------------------------------------------------------------ About : Small QUAKE Emulator for ECS Amigas, can be run in multitask. Its unbelievable fast! Save and Quit : Maybe saves your Configfile ... make sure that you run DreamReqPrefs from the directory with the D-req.fim in it!! Quit : Activates Fun-Mobile in red-blue and lightblue-white How to use: ----------- I dont wanna write much about how to use that door ... just that it's "limited" to 99 requests, as I think that no sysop wants to have a Request Bulletin with 600 requests! If you should enter the 100th request, the door will automatically delete the first request . New in v1.2: Use cursor keys in mainmenu (note: a fast RETURN after starting will QUIT the door (ergonomy? fuck, its just that i often start a door and dont know why %) - a fast return should quit it and not write a message or whatever)) You can jump directly into "REQUEST", "VIEW" or "DELETE" menupoint via starting DreamRequest(tm) with an additional argument: dr r -> will start REQUEST procedure dr v -> will start VIEW procedure dr d -> will start DELETE procedure dr i -> will show some info (same as "dr ?") Maybe a few things to the DELETE point: First all available requests will be shown. With Y/n/CR you can go through all available requests. If you'd like to delete some request, press "d" and choose with your up/down cursor keys the wished request. Press CR now. Dreamrequest(tm) will ask you now if you're sure to delete the request (same if you are sysop and/or if you have the level to delete all requests). With "Q" you always can abort selecting / showing. I forgot the rest .. just mess around and try some things - DreamRequest(tm) shouldnt format your HD or stuff ... I think :) @endnode @node "Disclaimer" "Disclaimer" Disclaimer This software is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied. At the begining not everything will be completly finished and because of this not everything you can already configure will work. The registered Versions have to work at least some days before they will be released for registered Users, but it's still possible that these versions also make problems when using them. But as soon as you've reported those problems, they will be fixed! If some of the settings won't work, it might be a bug but it's also (more) possible that those functions are not implemented yet. Some of the internal functions are currently untested and it's possible that they produce errors or problems, but please remember the complexity of FAME ! If you have questions or problems with FAME, please turn on one of the FAME-Developers or ask Strider to solve your problems. @{b}@{u}What should FAME costs ?@{ub}@{uu} Registered Version: 110 USD / 150 DM Betatester Version: 145 USD / 200 DM @{b}@{u}What is included in the FAME-package ?@{ub}@{uu} Server, SystemEditor, MainPart, FAMEHydra.FIM, FAMEError.FIM FAME.library FAMEChat.FIM programmed by Bloodrock/tRSi FAMEFullEd.FIM, FAMEScript.FIM programmed by Beatnik/tRSi MUI UserEditor, FAMEDoorHelp.FIM, FAMEInfo programmed by SieGeL/tRSi Also some doors and tools from the FAME-Development-Team are included, but this doors are only unregistered Versions and have therefor some limitations.
