Using Getty with AVM
====================

Since there were so many requests about using Getty with  AVM,  here's  my
solution:

   1. Copy the file 'AVM/StartGetty' to 'AVM:'

      This script is used to start the null-handler needed by Getty.


   2. Rename the file 'AVMRexx:StartBBS.avm' to 'AVMRexx:StartBBs.bak'
      Copy the file 'AVM/StartBBS.avm' to 'AVMRexx:'

      This script is used to start a BBS or a remote shell.  But  in  this
      case, we just want to start Getty.

      Please edit the script to fit your needs. Also take  care  that  the
      serial  device  and unit specified here are the same as specified in
      'Getty:Config/Getty.config'!


   3. Finally copy the file 'Getty.config' to 'Getty:Config'

      Please edit the script to fit your needs. Also take  care  that  the
      serial  device  and unit specified here are the same as specified in
      'AVMRexx:StartBBS.avm'!


   4. Start AVM using the 'StartGetty' script.


As always, i've tested the setup using  the  nullmodem.device.  Everything
seems  to  work.  If you have any problems setting up AVM with Getty, feel
