Digital Audio Systems Designs' Module Player 4.0 alpha version 2 This file MUST NOT BE spreaded to anyone. The only place to get this archive is from DASDg's Home Page http://www.tit.fi/~icpopa/Welcome.html and if you have received this file from somewhere else please contact your system operator and ask him to remove this archive. If this version spreads to public BBS's, ftp sites or to someone elses homepage I *will* *stop* distributing these alpha and later on beta versions to public use. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TEXTS!!!!!!! Includes people already using alpha 1. NOTE: Requires MUI 3.2! Requires EPLs provided with the 3.5b package. List files are no longer backward compatible, so if you wish to ensure that you can still use the old version, make a backup copy of your ENV:dasmp/ drawer and your list files. Following files should be located in Config Drawer (was in previous versions called 'EPL Config Drawer') dasmp.extlib dasmp.author Default for this directory will be PROGDIR:cfg/ so it might be a good idea to make one for yourself. DO NOT send me requests of new EPLs and new effects (scopes and such) since I already have dozens of suggestions but just haven't had time to make any of them. Also this version requires MUI 3.2 and this WILL NOT change, so don't request to support older versions. There is no documentation included and using old help file is not recommended since so much have changed since the old one. Non-English users I also suggest that you temporarily rename your dasmp.catalog file to something else for the time being. Using the old catalog file is not recommended with this version. If you are not sure how to do things mentioned above please use the old 3.5b version for the time being and wait for the actual release of 4.0. You should have this kind of directory structure under the directory where DASMP is being run from. Run from WB! cfg/ EPL/ IOL/ KNOWN BUGS: I haven't touched the arexx interface so far, so most of the arexx commands may crash your Amiga, be warned! IOL thingy doesn't actually do anything right now, so don't try to do anything with it. Some parts of the new authoring system are still disabled. Don't use the clipboard feature, it is still in a stage where it WILL cause infinite loop when copying archived files to it. THINGS TO COME: Grouping system will change somewhat (or will it? How about some feedback, I may remove the whole system if no one uses it) Scope and samplex will be moved to IOL files. Drag&Drops for lists. Help bubbles. Lots of smaller things I have in my mind. READ: Please do not judge this program according to this particular release, it IS NOT RELEASE version nor is it even close to be ready. Pauli Porkka Digital Audio Systems Designs 25.3.1996
