WebFTP On-Line Help.

Getting started.
From the WorkBench: double click on the WebFTP icon.
From a shell: type "WebFTP" and hit return.

Once the Window has opened, click on the chooser button to select a pre
configured site or the config program will open allowing you to enter your
remote and local prefs.

To enter a new site:
	o Enter site name.
	o Enter site address.
	o Enter username and password.
	o Enter the remote directory of your html files.
	o Enter the local root directory of your html files.
	o Click on "Add", then enter more sites or click on "Quit".

Updating your site.
When you have connected to your remote host, you will see (left side) all the
remote files, if any, and on the right is your local html directory.

For ease of use, WebFTP uses the assign "LocalHTML:" for the root directory
of  all your local web pages. (The installer does this for you.)

Now all you have to do is click on the "compare" button and wait for WebFTP
to  compare all your local files to your remote files.

If you have "delete unused remote files" selected, WebFTP will mark all
unused  files on your remote host with a Trashcan, and mark other files
remote/local, with differant icons.

Once this has finished, all you have to do is click on the "Update" button,
and WebFTP will start deleting (if selected) the unused remote files, then it
will start uploading the new/updated files from your harddrive to the remote
site.

WebFTP will not delete any files that start with a dot, ie. ".bash_history".

To Auto Ignore any remote files, enter the file extention for that type of file
to the WebFTP.ignore file.

Using the remote file menu's.
There are 7 (seven) menu items for use with the remote files.

   o view   - View the remote file.
   o Delete - Delete the remote file.
   o Rename - Rename the remote file.
   o chmod  - Change the mode on the remote file.
   o touch  - Set the date on the remote file.
   o Ignore - Set the ignore icon for the remote file.
   o Info   - Display info for selected file.

To access this menu, double click on a remote filename.

Chmod can only be used if your remote host allows the use
of the "SITE <cmd>" command. If in doubt, ask your system admin.

View uses multiview to display the file.

Using the local file menu's.
There are 4 (four) menu items for the local files.

   o View   - View the local file.
   o Ignore - Set the ignore icon for the local file.
   o Delete - Delete the local file.
   o Info   - Display info for selected file.

To access the menu for the local files, double click on a local filename.

Configuring WebFTP.
Use the pulldown menu to select WebFTP, or run the WebFTPCfg program
supplied.

Other.
For those of you that like to see everything that goes on, WebFTP has a
"Debug" option (select it in the pulldown menu). This will open a listbrowser
at the bottom of the window and will log all commands that are received from
the remote host.

Menu's.
You now have the option of NOT auto refreashing the local or remote lists after
a full update.
