ThanX... ******************************************************************************** august 18. 96: I'm happy todays; I've good worked ;-) FTPPrefs: - add a slider to choose global timeout for all connections; you can still use the -t X cmd in the 'ftp' line in amitcp:db/inetd.conf file - change the interface so that the window now fits in a PAL screen (640*256)! i've test FTPPrefs and FTPControl in PAL with XHelvetica 13 as screen font, Xen 9 as default font and Xhelvetica 9 as icon font! 10 pixels miss to fit in he screen, but you can choose smaller font that XHelvetica 13!! or use a scroll screen with 400 in height! LS-ftpd: some changes somewhere... but i don't remember what... ******************************************************************************** august 07. 96: back from halidays... refreshed and ready to code :-) here are some new elements: FTPPrefs: - add a byte ratio: you can choose how many bytes user can upload before to download something; there is still the file ratio choise. - modification in upload and msg functions: I hope the upload works better now... please mail me if there are still troubles. - add some slider: for class limit and login fails. - now ftpcontrol reloads only the saved part from ftpprefs. - fixed enormous bugs in mem deallocation!!! FTPControl: - add a prefs part: you can set msgs for ban kick, break ban timeout: the msgs are saved in ENV: and ENVARC: (with MUI) - change the ratio window so you can change online the file or byte ratio. - add a timeout ban: so you can ban an user for X minutes and then the ban is automatiquecly removed. - the quit function now works well... there is a little pb before. - remove enormous mem bug too!!! WARNING!! now FTPD.cfg is by default in amitcp:db... no more in amitcp:bin !!! i've removed some bugs... (thanx to jeje!) - no more "NULL POINTER" when my-ftpd doesn't find a valid class; this error is dued to a trouble with your ftpd.cfg file; sometimes you haven't set the correct flag for this class: by example you log in anonymous and no class matchin with the host in anonymous... - ban for anonymous and ftp, now better works, i hope :-) - the functions are no more logged in syslog in you don't want: you have to choose where they are logged in FTPPrefs command function. - the cps (char per seconds) are under process... the present are only for information and aren't precise... and slow down the transefert :( -thaht's all :-) /***********/ jun 17 96, just a new release of FTPPrefs with a new format for FTPD.cfg. so remove your old file and don't try to launch my-ftp nor ftpcontrol!!!! they can't read the new format yet! /*******************************/ an other release,... less gurus... only one in the whole day! instalation info: you need for the instant to put FTPControl, FTPD.cfg in the amitcp:bin drawer! the ftpd.cfg file can be obtained by using converter and your old ftpaccess file or by editing a new one with FTPPrefs! to use this demon you must add the following line: # my ftp deamon ftp stream tcp nowait root amitcp:serv/LS-ftpd LS-ftpd but before doing that you have to place a '#' before your old ftp configuration line... and don't forgot to remplace the old line when you are connected, because the deamon can't have troubles ;-) to make some test use amitcp in local... so lauch startnetlocal! what is normally WORKING: my-ftpd: - log and passwd : anonymous and guest. - walk into directories trees even the alias! you can at every moment return to the root dir by sending a '/'! the allow and deny dirs are well checked. - send, receive files...(resume not test yet!) ftpprefs: - show user actions by selecting an user; then send him msg by using bottom gadget string! - you can kick or ban user :) - you only can closed the server... other options aren't working normally! NOT WORKING YET: - you can only test with amftp :( because ncftp doesn't recognise login code.. I'mworking on it but I still haven't found... - the cmd aren't timeout... no need to NOOP... - friends report me that ftpprefs can't read its own FTPD.cfg file :( I don't understand the problem yet! but if you want you can rebuild a new configuration with ftppref and after it works... but it isn't a good solution... so wait :) WAINTING REPORT ON: - gurus... all kind :-) - interface confort... - suggestions... see you later JFP.
