@NODE INTRO "Introduction.."

RatioCheck is coded for sysops who would like to stop all the users that
constantly download and get them uploading instead. This is done writing
information to a logfile. Here all the users are listed who had a bad
ratio. Ofcourse it is then up to the (Co)Sysop to do something about that.
But ofcourse you do not wish to check on friends or traders who often
download, and therefor you can create a list which holds all the users
you do not wish to check on. This all is slapped into one door with in the
current version support for two different designs, delivered inside a
package with a installation and configuration program!

@NODE CONFIG "Configuration.."

Configuring is easy, you just click the icon in your workbench. But we'll
give you a step by step description of what your options are.

First set the number of usres hat need to be ignored:
e.g. 5 users: tooltype USERS=5

Secondly edit NAME.<x>=name of user
For example:
NAME.1=Floppy Robby
NAME.2=The Prophet!
NAME.3=Clotug
NAME.4=Pat
NAME.5=Whirlwind

NOTE THAT THIS IS *NOT* CASE-SENSITIVE ANYMORE. [v0.2c+]

Finally choose a @{"design" link "DESIGNS" 0} by setting the tooltype
DESIGN=Floppy Robby ot
DESIGN=The Prophet!

@NODE SYSNOTE "Sysop Note.."

Note the log in your DOORS:ROYAL/ratio-check/ dir. You must never delete this
logfile! The only thing you should do is CLEAR it in your text-editor.
Now you have a clear log ready to use. I'm sorry it has to go this way for
now, but we're working on that now!

@NODE VERSION "Revision History.."

 V0.01  - 28/29 Apr 1996
        - 100% code done

 V0.02c - 22 May 1996
          added support for different designs.
          See the tooltype DESIGN.
          Ratio-check does not use report.cfg anymore to find
          the users that don't need a ratio-check. It now uses
          Doors:ROYAL/ratio-check/report.info on the tooltype NAME.<x>

 V0.3 - Tooltype USER= is now not needed anymore.
          This makes life a bit easier again (=

 V0.3b - Now the logfile uses a newline in the logfile when a comment
          is written to it. (soultaker)
          Just a little chnage in the code, but it makes the
          logfile useful now (-:

 V0.4 - Ratio-check now supports the argument SHOWLOG.
          When the sysop (or cosysop) wants to see the logfile online,
          enter this at the /X prompt: Report showlog

 V0.4b - Ratio-check now also adds the date ad time to the logfile.

 V0.4c - Now only users with at least access level 255 (SYSOP) can
          use the SHOWLOG option.

 V0.5a - Ratio-check now features the argument COUNT.
          With this option youcan count the amount of downloads of
          a user with a bad or, as The Prophet! likes to says, a frustratingly
          bad ratio.

 V0.5b - Correct english sentence when a user has just 1 bad ratio.

 V0.5c - If you counted a user and this user was also on the last
          line in the log-file, he was counted 1 timw too much due
          a weird error (-: Fixed now

 V0.6a - The COUNT option is now enhanced with the ability to start
          counting from a certain date.

 V0.6b - The COUNT option is enhanced with a days-back option.
          So you can count the reports e.g. for the last 14 days.
         *KNOWN BUG:
          This is pretty beta yet, because when it is e.g. 1-JUN-96
          Ratio-Check will calculate 14 days back (18-MAY-96) and
          start searching for this date in the logfile. But if there
          are no reports at all at 18-MAY-96 it will NOT count ANY
          other logs! So at this point this option is still quite useless,
          but the date-back routine was quite diffcult to code for me,
          and that's why this is only V0.6b. I hope to have the count-back
          routine working 100% in the next version.

 V0.7 - The count xxx days back option works.
          (-: I don't know why I did this shitwork, but anyway I did.
          It took me several hours ine one go to get this rotten stuff
          to work, but you know Arcade/Mystic did it in his great confscan,
          and ofcouz I wanted to do this t least as well as he did hehe.
          it COULD be PRETTY BUGGY! Please REPORT BUGS!

If you have any suggestions, bug reports, questions, or if you can
do another cewl ansi-design please contact tHE pROPHET! or
fLOPPY rOBBY at one of the support boards.

When sending in bug reports, please state exactly under what circumstan-
ces the bug occurred, what equipment was used and what happened. If
possible also try to give me enough information to reproduce the bug. It
is very difficult to find bugs when you don't know exactly what happened.
If possible, submit the offending 'error' to me so I can test it myself,
or give me a pointer where I can find the error.

Just copy the /bbs/commands/bbscmd/report.info to BBS:COMMANDS/BBSCMD/
(not in the SYSCMD, since the online prompt usage won't work!)

Edit BBS:Conf<x>/DOWNLOADMSG.TXT where <x> is the number of any conference
you would like to install ratio-report in.
Best is ofcouz to do this for all conferences.
But if you have e.g. a AmiExpress Utils conference with freedownloads,
and you won't have the annoying warning to be sent to users with a bad
ratio, just don't install report in that conference (= Eazy eh?

Report features two special arguments:
SHOWLOG and COUNT.
The access level for these arguments is 255 or higher.

When you have accesslevel 255 or higher enter at the /X prompt
REPORT SHOWLOG and Royal-ratio-check will show the logfile online.
This is meant for co-sysops so they can view the logfile online too.

When you have accesslevel 255 or higher enter at the /X prompt
REPORT COUNT and Royal-ratio-check will ask you for a user name to enter.
If this user is found on the report.log Royal-ratio-check will count
the amount of bad ratio reports.
This is meant for co-sysops so they can do something against these lame
