The ASC-editor may not detach, when the editing text will be shown. Attention!!! If it's a packed file you have to use an ASC- editor that is able to unpack the file. Other- wise you will only get strange characters. § ASC » HEX You can switch from the ASC-display to the HEX- display. § HEX » ASC You can switch from the HEX-display to the ASC- display. § Search Opens the Search window in which you can enter the searchword and change other options. § Next Searches for the next item. If the next item was found, it will be marked. If no item was found, a window appears and informs you. This Gadget is selectable if a searchword is inserted. § Previous Searches for the previous item. If the previous item was found, it will be marked. If no item was found, a window appears and informs you. This Gadget is selectable if a searchword is in- serted. § Filename Shows the name of the loaded file. If the name is too long the filename will be split. § Vertical Slidergadget With this gadget you can scroll the text only one line at a time (arrows), pages (click below or a- bove the scroll bar) or independent (click on the scroll bar and move). This only works if the text is longer than one screenpage. § Horizontal Slidergadget With this gadget you can scroll the text one letter (arrows), pages (click left or right of the scroll bar) or independent (click on the scroll bar). This works only if the text is wider than one screenpage. § Publicscreens Here you can select the publics creen on which MIndicator will open its window. The windowheight, the windowwidth (only the visible area) and the windowdepth (colors) depends on the selected screen. § Okay Uses the settings you made before and close the window. § Cancel Closes the window without using the settings you made before. § Print Quality With this gadgets you can select the printing quality. You can select between Draft or NLQ. § Typeface With this gadgets you can select the typeface. You can select between Pica, Elite and Condensed. § Print Spacing With this gadgets you can select print spacing. You can select between 6 or 8 lines per inch. § Left Margin In this gadget you can enter how many letters the left margin will be indented. Minimal values for DIN A4: Pica: 1 Elite: 1 Condensed: 1 § Right Margin In this gadget you can enter the number of the last letter that is printed. Maximum values for DIN A4: Pica: 80 Elite: 96 Condensed: 133 These values may vary from printer to printer. § Top Margin In this gadget you can enter the value of the lines which will be leaved out before the first line will be printed. § Bottom Margin In this gadget you can enter the value of the lines which won't be printed at the bottom. This is interesting for users who use fanfold paper. § Paper Length In this gadget you can enter the value of the lines which can printed on your printer. Guidenumber for DIN A4: 6 lines per Inch: c. 68 lines 8 lines per Inch: c. 90 lines These values may vary from printer to printer. § File If you select this gadget, the file will be printed. The searchword won't be took over. § Always from the Beginning Click on this gadget to select/unselect it.
