explode ------- Documentation for version 1.2b, on September 12th, 1991 by Bruno Costa WARNING Although this program is freely distributable (see COPYRIGHT below), I would appreciate if you take the time to write me a line or two (E-Mail please) if you are using any of my programs or if you have any kind of ideas or suggestions (This is not too much to ask, is it?). If you feel particularly generous, I would like to receive a disk with any useful programs you have written, preferrably with source. Thanks! DESCRIPTION Explode is a background utility that shows a small "animation" whenever a window is opened on any Amiga screen. This "animation consists symply of an outline moved along an arbitrary, user configurable path that originates from the mouse pointer position (thus the name explode). This program differs from existing ones mainly because of the user configurability and the inovative default animation. This program was written and designed under WB 1.3 - although it does work under WB 2.0, some of the new features make it a little useless. OPTIONS usage: explode [-012] [-f] [-d] [-s] [-q] The program is automatically installed just by typing its name, and most of the options are used simply for fine tuning. Option 'd' selects outlines drawn with a dotted line pattern, instead of the full lines selected by 'f'. Options '0' through '2' serve to configure the speed of the animation: '0' is the faster, '2' is the slower. Option 's' tells explode to be silent, in which case it won't show a small window when it is installed. Option 'q' is used to remove explode from memory. Note that the use of a configuration filename is not supported (yet?), but the configuration can be made using the external program config. EXAMPLES To install explode with the default settings use either: > explode or: > explode -1 -f To remove explode from memory: > explode -q BUGS Although this program works perfectly under WB 2.0, programs designed for 2.0 use a different call to open windows, and explode won't show an animation for them. If you run any program designed for WB 1.3 under 2.0 though, its windows will explode exactly as they did under 1.3.
