Manual for Interfere2d V1.2 Introduction ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ This little script was written for easy creation of interfering waves with dust. Motivation ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ Aehemm, yes. The motivation was to create interfering waves with dust, but a bit more easier and somewhat automated. Legal Stuff ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ Interfere2d is CARDWARE, that means that you should send me a postcard or letter if you use the programm or just like to do so. Interfere2d may be freely distributed. I give permission to everybody to do what ever he/she/it wants to do with it. But ... 1) EVERYBODY WHO TAKES PART, SUPPORTS OR APPROVES **ANY KIND** OF RACISM IS EXPLICITLY FORBIDDEN TO USE THIS PROGRAMM FOR **ANY** PURPOSE. 2) Military use in any way for any purpose is not allowed. 3) You may not charge money for the programm except your costs for copying and distribution. You may not charge more than 5.- DM or equivalent for one disk on which the programm can be found. 4) Please do not change the script and distribute it again, you may change the script only for personal use. 5) Please tell me any changes you want to have implied. I will try hard to do so. 6) Please send bug reports or suggestions, help is always welcome. Especialy send translations of the internal strings (easy) or the manual you're reading ;^] in any language. 7) In the meaning of cardware PLEASE send me a postcard to the following address. Especialy to Fred Fish. 9) No warranty is given for anything. Use at your own risk. I know that this programm is not really worth this many lines about what is allowed and what not. But ... Legal Stuff (Second Part) ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ Because this programm was written for use with DUST, my program underlies also some legal restrictions of DUST if distributed together with DUST. If DUST is going to be Shareware, my program may still be distributed with DUST but my programm stays CARDWARE. I give special permission to A.Maschke, the author of DUST, to distribute this program with his package (and I wish so :-)) as long as this script is distributed with this documentation and is not changed in any way. But you should have received DUST together with this program. - You need the font thin609 in the size 8 in your FONTS: directory. No copyright known, included in this package. - You need the "RexxReqTools.library" in your LIBS: directory. This is copyrighted by Rafael D'Halleweyn and freeware, included in this package. - You need the "ReqTools.library" in your LIBS: directory. This is copyrighted by Nico Francois and shareware, but with permission to be distributed with other public domain software and therefore included in this package. Installation ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ Copy the contents of the libs directory to LIBS: (Choose the right reqtools.library depending on your OS) and the contents of the fonts directory to FONTS: that's all. NO INSTALLER SCRIPT FOR THIS JOB. EVERYBODY SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO THE LITTLE WORK INSTALLING THIS PACKAGE ( work ???? ). :-)) You must have the variable "DUST" set in "env:" which contains the full path to the executables "DUST" and "MakeLoop". This path _MUST_ end with trailing slash "/" or colon ":" !!!! Do this by typing the following in a shell. setenv DUST "" and (to make it permanent) setenv Envarc:DUST "" Usage: ŻŻŻŻŻŻ Not that hard. Just call the program in the way you normaly start ARexx scripts. rx Interfere2d for normal shells Interfere2d for WShell or normal shell with the s-protection bit set The program tells the usage itself during work. So read the text carefully and you will (hopefully) have no further questions. One thing should be said. The parameters of the five predefined waves may only be changed once, there is no loop wich asks you again for the parameters as it is with the more "important" setup in the first part of the program. Limitations ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ The program is limited to five waves for your object, because I thought more than five waves do not make much sense. If you want more, tell me. (If your not able to program ARexx) If you want more, do it yourself (If you are) BTW, if you have some very nice combinations of waves and a specific object, don't bother to send them to me.
