b3t5 years ScenetSixpacktfpf2s1c02 FIVE YEARS SCENE f1c04 by Sixpack/Gods f2c021993 f1c03The first year in the Scene that I really loved mainly because it was my first party year; c04The Gathering'93 c03rocked so much that I had dreams about it months after. I had now finally seen what the Scene was all about. I was "hooked". One of this year really toppers was the release of c04'Desert Dream' c03by the legendary c04Kefrensc03. I didn't read so many diskmagazines these days, but I started to be more interested when I saw issues of c04RAW c03and others. It was then I came to a conclusion; f4c02"I want to have a mag of my own"f1c03, but this was not going to be easy as I didn't have the knowledge that I needed to make a mag, nor the people who could make this dream come trough. f2c021994 f1c03A year, I always will remember as the most important year of my Scene life. Many very high quality demos were released as the c04A1200 c03machine was getting more and more accepted throughout the Scene. Well, I was one of those that couldn't afford the new Amiga, but I had close friends who had one. The demos I remember the most must be c04'Sequential' c03by c04Andromeda c03and the worst c04Razor 1911 c03demo to this date with only one big anim (both released at c04TG94c03). Also great mags were released such as c04Propagandac03, c04RAWc03,c04Upstreamc03, c04Compass c03etc. I also remember that I saw some issues of the message mag c04Generation c03by c04Damion c03which I still have in my rusty diskbox. And packs were very popular these days, so I thought about making one as my mag dream had gone down the drain. I gathered c04KillJoy c03and c04Joint c03to help me with the task and started to produce my first ever issue of c04'Jurassic Pack' c03that saw the light in May'94. And I managed to release two more issues this year as the mag part wasn't that big actually. But in this JP series I had a pack part which many Sceners believe JP never had. Anyway, now I was getting what I wanted: Some respect from the Scene. Will always remember it! f2c021995 f1c03This year I remember as the second comeback for c04D.I.S.C. c03as it had been silent for some time until then. c04Gods c03had the rights for the magazine and we had big plans for it. We managed to release issue#10 at c04TGc03. Jurassic Pack had a little delay now since I was waiting for a new source code from c04Zytroxc03, which took time. Eventually I got it, more than a year later than the last issue, and managed to release a pre-issue for the c04GASP c03party. To be able to continue producing JP with me slaving in the Airforce, I asked our brand new God, c04Ghandyc03, to substitute. Ghandy was game, and was introduced to the making of JP at c04The Party'95c03. The c04Gathering c03this year sucked deeply, as the organisation and the location were very bad (Stavanger). The only good thing about this party was that c04Bridgeclaw/Gods c03won the graphics competition. And he later released a slide show, which still is in the charts. And this was the first year that I ever travelled to The Party in Denmark and it was quite OK but I had been on better parties. But there was some good productions released at TP, better than TG anyway... f2c021996 f1c03A year with some nice releases from my group such as intros, demos and of course c04Jurassic Pack c03which now was starting to get known in the Scene. this pleased me more, and I wanted to make it a full-blown mag, but something was holding me back! Yes, it was c04D.I.S.C.c03, the never ending story of a mag that just wont die. I was still in the military, so I was loosing ground, not knowing everything that was going on in this fab and strange world. Still, we managed to release JP issues. And this was the first year, I didn't travel the short way to c04The Gathering c03which was now moved to Vikingeskipet in Hamar. Then in august the Norwegian air force let me go, and I could really start working with c04Gods c03and the Scene again trying to get back on track. To do this I needed Internet fast, and I got it weeks after my homecoming. Christmas came up, and c04The Party c03was the next stop which was a very good party indeed. I met lots of friends and some good demonstrations where presented. f2c021997 f1c03This year have been rather strange to me, and to others I think. c04IRC c03has slipstreamed the snail-mail concept and in my opinion destroyed much of the Scene in one way. And if we look in an another direction, it have helped many to get up there, among the stars! If you know what I mean? I swapped for some four years, and I loved it. But as the Internet came along to 'my' room, I really didn't have the energy to continue. I know there is still some swappers left, and I admire them a lot for the work... c02Long live the swappers. c03When it comes to productions from my group this year! I must say that we really didn't get out as much as we wanted. But we managed to release demos at both c04TG c03and c04Symposiumc03. Also the last ever issue of my baby c04JP c03was released in June, to make room for c04D.I.S.C.c03. The c04Gathering c03this year was also a success in my opinion. The second best of them all.
