{HEAD} TEXTCOL=$FFF BACKGROUND=03 {/HEAD} IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM SKiDZ Could all the previous ßeta Testers of Roswell please return their 2 disks during November 97? I'll say this only once more...if you do not return the 2 disks sent to you, you will NOT be sent any future playtest versions, nor will you be entitled to a FREE copy of the completed game :( Sorry, but I sent out over 20 disks and so far only a couple have returned them! (I won't list anyone's names to save embarrassment!) If you have maybe just decided that you don't have time to playtest further versions, fine. Keep the disks, but PLEAZE do format them! The previous demo (and future ones) are for your eyes only and should not be spread around. (One day they will be collector's items! hehehe :^) Peeps with internet accounts can email me anytime for more info on the progress of the game. I am not looking for anymore playtesters at present due to the poor response from the last lot (well some of them at least). However, I might change my mind as long as the promise to actually send me some info and bug reports etc is actually adheared to!!! I would like to thank all previous playtesters who did actually geta round to sending me some reports. Thanx guyz. Your suggestions have been taken on board. Some new features of the game include: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ NEW GFX throughout the game (bY Anthony Sherratt). Each location from the previous demo has been given a facelift. So now my old gfx look quite professional. All objects and characters have been redone from scratch! No simple updating there! Ant has spent hours on just Bud alone! New Game Panel update. Similar to the one in previous demo, but with extra buttons etc. Cosmetic change really, but with that Anthony bit of majic thrown in there too :) Now the game has a GFX Inventory. No more clicking on plain text on the panel for objects being carried. Much more professional looking. Seperate Music Module can now be loaded with each new room :) I had to add this, how could I leave the game with one module for the whole game? I suppose my Multi-Module worked well, but it only covered a couple of locations. This new way is 100% better. More file encryption than a MAJIC 12 Document!!! Now all files are encrypted for security purposes. Lame hackers have forced this upon me due to them deciding to rip other peeps gfx and use them in their own productions :( New Intro being worked on. It will now be more Movie'esque! Not much to say about it as it's still being coded by myself and of course gfx by that guy who calls himself Anthony Sherratt! Choices now selected from a seperate screen :) No more crappy selecting answers from small display in panel. Now a seperate screen means biger and better choices to choose from :) Updated Storyline being adapted from Jim Allan's original by both myself and Anthony Sherratt. Now it should be more of an adventure than just a storyline ;þ A new demo version should be ready by the end of October if all goes well and by then, the engine code should be 100% completed just ready for the rest of the game files to fall into place. An AGA version is planned for the late future if I can get some neat AGA routines to use and as always, that chappy, Anthony has agreed to do the gfx :) I am aiming for a late 1997 release or at worst, early 1998. Keep checking future issues of BTF for more info, coz this is where you'll hear it first. That's all for now, cu l8r... SKiDZ/A51 PS Did ya get that name everyone? Anthony Sherratt! You'll hear a lot more of it over the next few months. Look out for his own new game called MONTY which should be released by the time you read this.
