{HEAD} TEXTCOL=$FFF BACKGROUND=03 {/HEAD} Roswell To Go Commercial - EXCLUSIVE BTF NEWS Just before the release of this issue of BTF, we at AGAS Productions were pleased to hear that our new game, Roswell, is set to be released during 1998 as a commercial release :) It's a bit difficult for me to say too much here as nothing has been tied up in contracts as such, but it seems the game will probably either be for HD only or maybe even CD :) There's a lot of work still to be done (the preview demo is still in its early stages too) and we plan to get most of the haard work done by the end of Feb 1998. It'll take a few months before the press even review the early demo (probably) and hopefully by the time they do, we will have a small percentage of the game up and running. For now, only a selected few will get to see the new preview demo :( Sorry, but the company who are considering Roswell as a commercial release have asked me to try and keep it to very minimal amounts of peeps who see the preview! However, sooner or later I shall be releasing demo's of the game via Aminet and probably the A51 web pages too :) Again, stay tuned to BTF for the first official news on this. I won't tell you who is set to take Roswell on board either. Again, sorry, but the distributor has again asked for me to keep quiet for now. I shouldn't even be telling any of you half of this, but I'm excited and let's face it, BTF has been following the progress of Roswell since day 1. I'll send a screenshot for all to see. The gfx are by Shezzor and code by myself (SKiDZ), but I'm afraid to say that the game will probably not be an AREA 51 release! I dunno if the name AGAS will even be used any longer. Agaain, I shall have to wait until I read the lagalities of this. So far I have only released PD, Shareware and Licenceware. Only the LW side required contracts and they are nothing special, so I'm only guessing that the commercial ones will have a lot more legal mumbo jumbo in 'em. Probably by thee next issue of BTF I will be able to tell you loads more. (I may even find time to updaate this bloody BTF engine properly also with any luck :) Anyhoo, that's all I wanna say on this subject for now. To everyone who is currently playtesting, many many many thanx. You shall not be forgotten. However, anyone who does fancy being a new playtester, please hold back a while. I have enough guys testing at present. I will constantly bombard zYX with thee latest developments and he can add them to the latest A51 news file which can be picked up anytime. That'll save you waiting for BTF to hear the news I guess. For those of you who have never read the A51 news file, contact zYX (address for email and snail in another part of diz mag) and he can send you a copy. (if using snail, please supply floppy and stamp)
