8. New PD games in Aminet

Hello friends!

There has been a lot of PD software this month, which is good for the games section (but not for my spare time). These are the PD titles this month:

-----------------
---BattleDuell---
-----------------

Possibly the best artillery duel clone besides Scorched Tanks on the Amiga (and maybe on all the other systems) is now freeware.

This unusual clone has besides the typical actions extras like bomb attacks and several choices in the multi player part as well as tournament, single player or player with network/modem. The rest is the same, but in first place itīs a lot of fun. The download is recommended to every one with a good Amiga or good eyes.

---DiamondChallenge---
----------------------

Sometimes you flash back to the past, the nearly forgotten times of three and a half pixels big sprites, the SID music and the good old dice games. That does not mean that Diamond Challenge is technically like an old C64 game, but it has the old charm. In DiamondChallenge the aim is to get a little creature (an apple perhaps, something with legs) to the level exit. The game is shown from above and with the help of tools and weapons you have to fight your way out against very nasty opponents, who do not want you to leave for some unknown reason (when you're nasty, you donīt need a reason, old film and video law).

Most of the riddles are well known: "How do I use my keys to open every door?" or "Which is the most effective way over the abyss I can build with my tools?"

A lot of new levels for all fans of riddles for free, only the leveleditor is shareware.

---dynAMIte---

There are thousands of games no one needs, but there are also games, or features in games, you wait years for. A good example of this is Bomberman. Many of us have wondered why it has no network or internet mode, īcos not everybody likes it to sit with 8 persons in front of only one Amiga.

And here it is: the Bomberman clone dynAMIte. In this free game you can kill each other with bombs in all sizes, through several bombs simultaneously, let bombs explode by remote control and shot with a laser gun. And there is a chat mode where you can abuse your opponents (if you lose the game).

BUT there is a problem. The game runs on an AGA system with a few spare RAM but for the internet mode you should have a fast connection.

This game is a must-have for all friends of the original and all flat rate owners. Be careful, you might develop a mania for it!

---Simon2001---
---------------

A short time ago this game had a rebirth as a game played on a board, which DawnBringer (well known for his video poker) took as a motive to program a Amiga version. The idea of the game is simple: You have to play a given melody. first it is one tone, then two, then three and so on.

A nice game but a bit boring over a long distance.

---Updates!---
--------------

There is a new update of Detris! The version 3.1 contains several improvements and bug fixes... so many that I had to give it a spin.

There is a new version of the board game Chaos, too. I cannot get the hang of the game, so there will be no test.
