Heidi - we build a Lara Croft lookalike on the Amiga!
Our problem: As time goes by spring is coming and this
results in some wonderful feelings which let us - caused by a seasonal
hormone push - look more carefully than ever before after proportions of
certain shapes... After judging their appeal critically we often discover
that these shapes (i.e. women!) don't match our high demands and so look
away again.

The solution: We do it ourselves (the object of desire, of course)!

The name
The most important thing of all - even if many of you regard this as
irrelevant or unnecessary - is to give it a name...
..she will be called HEIDI.

The proportions
...which we've been judging critically and found out that they don't
match our demands, we must think over completely. This is our next task. We
should have in mind what we want to get in order to compare time after
time, whether we made it or not. The first steps aren't to be done on the
computer, just get pen & paper and - with a bit of artificial skills -
draw some basic shapes and figures. Don't care about details like nose,
eye, belly button - just try to get HEIDI's proportions right.

First approach from the behind.

So you draw ellipses for legs, arms, face, hands, feet, body and take
care of some basic rules, e.g: eyes are in the middle of the face
(vertically), 90-60-90, ellbows are slightly over waist, etc. More of these
rules you can look up in every book dealing with studies on the human
(naked, preferably!) body.

The functions
People who have never experienced working with a 3D rendering program
should first try to learn some of the basics and form simple shapes in
order to get used into creating objects with these programs. After this one
