Juan Antonio Gomez Galvez pulished the keyfiles for his famous emulators for free. With the argument, that he will retreat from the computer world, so he published the keyfiles for his emulators AmiMasterGear, AmiGameBoy and AmiMSX2. Even, if this news, that the keyfiles are freeware now, makes us happy, a very talented programmer is lost for us. Because he made it possible to emulate a Gameboy resp. a Sage MasterSystem/GameGear with full speed and sound on a 68030. Thanks again , Juan Antonio, for this unique performance and all the best for you!
Max Ivamoto of the group, that develops the CBSpeccy emulator annoounced, that they are planning a PowerPC version of the emulator. But first there will be a 68060 version. Soon there will be published a first release of CBMegaDrive, that is to emulate a Sega Mega Drive in acceptable speed also on an 68k Amiga. The first release will be a beta revision, but it will already support more than 50% of the games.
The Mac emulator Basilisk II was released in a new alpha version. Basilisk II is a multi platform project of Christian Bauer, so it is an indirect successor of ShapeShifter. The latest version is currently v0.7 Alpha and can be downloaded from the homepage of the author (http://www.uni-mainz.de/~bauec002/).
Matthias Roslund ported a new emulator to the Amiga: DarcNES. This emulator is a mulit platform emulator, that emulates various consoles. DarcNES requires a PowerPC with WarpOS as well as CyberGraphX. There is also a new revision of TrueReality available, that is able to emulate Mario64, now.
