2. 24-Bit-IFF-ILBM format description needed

I am looking for a description of the 24-Bit IFF-ILBM format. How has such a file to look like? In the books I have, I found informations about the format with up to 256 colours. It would be much help, if someone can tell me, how the DataTypes are used for creating a 24-Bit IFF file from MaxonPascal.
