»TITAN COMPUTER proudly presents
the new Twister G3/G4 PPC Project
The Story so far....
The Twister G3/G4 project for the Amiga 1200 is a cooperation between ACT (Apollo), Haage and Titan Computer.
With the new Motorola G3/G4 PPC CPU a new world of speed and of new possibilities is made available for the A1200 users. The Twister PPC boards put the Amiga back to the first league of computersystems. The ages of the old 68k are gone. A new age of RISC CPUs has begun.
The Twister PPC boards are 100% compatible to the 68xxx CPU due to the 68k emulation of Haage, which is within a Flash-ROM. Due to the power of the emulation a 300 MHz G3 can reach the speed of a 68060 CPU. In addition the PPC board offers 2 local PCI slots for a 2D/3D graphics board on base of the RivaTNT2. The other slot is for operating an Ultra-Wide-SCSI controller.
Due to the design of the A1200 the PPC board can be used in an A1200 tower system only.
