Good news for all the Amiga users, who want to put more power into their computer: DCE GmbH, located in Oberhausen, Germany, who have been producing a large range of computer accessories for Amiga computer systems for years and phase 5 digital products from Oberursel, Germany, developer and manufacturer of powerful processor-, graphics and SCSI boards for Amiga computers, announce the signing of a licence contract that allows DEC GmbH, to manufacture a number of phase 5 products, which have been taken out of the program of phase 5 due to focussing to PPC upgrades. With signing of this licence contract the continuous availability of 68k based processor boards of phase 5 digital products as well as various accessory boards are guaranteed in the long run. Both manufacturers want to set a mark for the contiuing support of the Amiga market. " We are very happy, that we found the company DCE GmbH as a partner, who continues our products, we took out of our portfolio due to the focussing on the PPC line and has the technical competence and an experience with Amiga computers, which was built through the years, to produce the products on the used high quality level to satisfy the customers", says Wolf Dietrich, CEO of phase 5 digital products. Thomas Dellert, CEO of DCE GmbH adds: "Due to this cooperation many users can get the powerful products, that haven't been available throughout the last months, for good prices and upgrade their systems to keep them up-to-date."
The products, DCE will produce under licence in the future, are awarded in many test reports and still represent the leading 68k accelerator technology for Amiga 1200 and 3000/400 as well as compatible systems.
