We are looking for senior engineering candidates who have a proven industry track record of developing and delivering robust, top-quality software and hardware on time. At Amiga we believe strongly in both teamwork and individual contribution, and all staff members are expected to drive his/her commitments to completion. With our new revolutionary architecture we are looking for candidates with proven industry experience in object-oriented methodologies, technology and programming. In particular, we are looking for experience in Java, Java classes, C++/C, Corba, EJB, Internet protocols, encryption and authentication algorithms, transactional eCommerce systems, Linux/UNIX or QNX operating systems, real-time multimedia programming (audio, video and graphics), advanced user interface design, and hardware/systems architecture for digital appliances.

Multimedia R&D:
The multimedia R&D team is responsible for the design and implementation of the Amiga multimedia architecture. Successful candidates will have a deep understanding of the state-of-the-art in multimedia algorithms and implementation.
The successful candidate has 8+ years of proven industry experience using C++ and/or Java, industry experience with object oriented methodologies and a solid understanding of real-time multimedia operating systems and services.

Systems Software R&D:
The Systems Software group is responsible for the design and implementation of system level software for the new Amiga computers. Candidates are expected to have a deep understanding of system level programming and the general design of operating systems.
The successful candidate has 8+ years of proven industry experience with system-level programming for real-time multimedia operating systems.

User Experience R&D:
The User Experience group is responsible for the design and implementation of the Amiga's advanced human interaction paradigms. Candidates are expected to have a deep understanding of user interfaces, their implementation and their integration into an operating environment.
The successful candidate has 8+ years of proven industry experience using in the user interface field and an appreciation for today's real-time multimedia operating systems and services.

Networking and Distributed Applications R&D:
The networking group is responsible for design and implementation of the Amiga networking and distributed processing architecture. Candidate are expected to have a deep understanding of Java based networking technologies (Sockets, RMI, Jini, Security) and/or standard network technologies (TCP/IP, sockets, Security).
The successful candidate has 8+ years of proven industry experience writing network-based applications or network-based services.

The group focuses on supporting developers and the in-house engineering team. This group works closely with the entire development team and the Amiga developer community.

The hardware group is responsible for hardware architecture and design of the new Amigas. The group works closely with the other groups of the Amiga R&D team and our partners.
The successful candidate has 8+ years of proven hands-on industry experience in hardware design, systems architecture, and ability to work with external technology partners.

Transaction Services Engineering:
The group is responsible for architecture and implementation of Amiga back-end services. The group works closely with the Networking and Distributed applications group.
