Introduction

Idea of program by Martin Lindhorst

If you are online in the internet and HostJunkey is running,
HostJunkey will store all names and IPs of hosts you connect to.
You can output them by pressing a hotkey. There are exists one
hotkey for output the name of the host and another for the IP.
A third hotkey is for popup a history window where you can
select the host you want to output via hotkey.
You can popup the window in every screen. The output works
like pressing the string with you keyboard. You can write
that to gadgets,shells,etc...
The system is very simular to PowerSnap.

*** IMPORTANT ***

HostJunkey has to be activated before the application you want
to store the hosts from.
HostJunkey does not free all the allocated memory on exit.
Caused by the patches it does. It`s no bug. But it`s only 32 bytes
per patch/application. Don`t quit and run HostJunkey very often,
or you memory will be much fracmented. (or use Poolmem).
The best way to use HostJunkey is to run is in the WBStartup
or before the TCP/IP stack launches. And not to remove it.
It is optional.... make your own expiriences...

Patch:

1.Hotkey:

Standard Hotkey: ALT SHIFT h

Opens the history window.
On the top of the window is a cyclegadget where
to select the way of sorting the hosts.
Available is sorting by sequence,name and IP.
Under the cyclegadget is a listview with all
stored hosts. The selected host will be output
with the other two hotkeys.

2.Hotkey:

Standard Hotkey: ALT SHIFT j

Output the last, or in the history selected >hostname<.
example: www.playstation.com

3.Hotkey:

Standard Hotkey: ALT SHIFT k

Output the last, or in the history selected >hostip<.
example: 145.87.45.2


Exchange:

Active/Inactive...Enable/Disable storing of hosts
Remove............Quit HostJunkey

Prefs:

The prefs are stored in the file ENVARC:HostJunkey.prefs

The format of the file is very easy:

Line 1...Hotkey for history window
Line 2...Hotkey for output hostname
Line 3...Hotkey for output hostip

Only working in registered version:
Line 4...The value for the maximal stored hosts (1..32000)

All lines have to be ended with RETURN.

The hotkeys are standard commodity string like ALT SHIFT h.
The format is <qualifiers> <key>.

Qualifiers:

COMMAND,LCOMMAND,RCOMMAND...Amiga keys
SHIFT,LSHIFT,RSHIFT.........Shift keys
CTRL........................Control key
NUMPAD......................Key on numpad

Limit:

The only shareware limitation is that only 20 hosts can be stored.
On registered version the limit in variable.

How to register:

Send me a mail with translations,bugreports of new ideas for
Hostjunkey. Or send me letter via post with some money to my address
and you e-mail in the letter. I don`t think that many people
send me money, but it`s not so important for me. Normaly I
would release it as freeware, but i wanna some response for
my work to continue HostJunkey. And i think it`s not too much
to write a little mail for this useful tool. Also it`s easier
to send a mail than crack HostJunkey or leech a released keyfile...
if its really happen. :)
