The configuration file is a plain ASCII file which can be loaded into any text editor. Its basic format is as follows:
Each command can have on of the following types:
The commands can be split into the following categories:
The commands are:
Enable/disable parts |
|
| MOOD (boolean) | Enable adding of MOOD kludges |
| HEADER (boolean) | Enable adding of headers |
| NP (boolean) | Enable adding of Now Playing lines |
| SIG (boolean) | Enable adding of signatures |
| TAGLINE (boolean) | Enable adding of taglines |
Filenames |
|
| MOODFILE (string) | The file containing MOOD kludges |
| HEADERFILE (string) | The file containing headers |
| NPFILE (string) | The file containing Now Playing lines |
| SIGFILE (string) | The file containing signatures |
| TAGFILE (string) | The file containing taglines |
Macros |
|
| MACRO_N (string) | Specifies the character sequence that is replaced by the recipient's name |
| MACRO_FN (string) | Specifies the character sequence that is replaced by the recipient's first name |
| MACRO_LN (string) | Specifies the character sequence that is replaced by the recipient's last name |
| MACRO_D (string) | Specifies the character sequence that is replaced by the current date |
| MACRO_T (string) | Specifies the character sequence that is replaced by the current time |
Miscellaneous settings |
|
| EDITOR (string) | The name of the text editor. In this string, @F is replaced by the name of the OLR drop file, and @A is replaced by any additional arguments supplied to Tag-o-Miga |
| GUI (boolean) | Enables or disables the use of the GUI. If this is disabled, Tag-o-Miga will randomly select taglines for you. Some platforms do not support the use of a GUI; in those cases this option will be ignored. |
| NOINFO (boolean) | If this option is enabled, Tag-o-Miga will not add the info line to the end of your messages |
| NOREQ (boolean) | If this option is enabled, Tag-o-Miga will not stop and display requesters (dialog boxes in Windows-speke). All requesters are written to the log file and silently cancelled. This is useful if Tag-o-Miga is being run on a BBS. |
| LOGFILE (string) | If NOREQ is enabled, requester information is written to this file |
| NOTAGNAME (boolean) | If this option is enabled, Tag-o-Miga will not place "## taglines in tagfilename" on the info line |
| DEFTAGFILETYPE (integer) | Specifies the default tagfile type for tagfiles without an [OPT] line. Acceptable values are: |
| MAKEINDEX (boolean) | Specifies if Tag-o-Miga should build index files to speed up tagfile scanning. It is recommended that this option is switched on if you use the GUI or have large tagfiles. Index files are not available under DOS due to filename limitations. |
| BUFFER (boolean) | This option is now deprecated. Buffering will be activated automatically if required and enough memory is available. |
Internal options |
|
| NETWORK2 (boolean) | This option should be kept switched OFF. It remains only for compatibility reasons. |
| USECOUNT (integer) | This option should not be altered. It keeps track of the number of times the program has been run, so a Postcardware reminder can be displayed after prolonged use. |
