@NODE 1. "Introduction to the world of ZooLDIZ 2"

ZoolDIZ is the most powerful and efficent @{"File_ID.Diz" Link D.} processor known in modem
world. It handles all files automatically (If sysop wants so), and is designed
especially to work with multinode systems. Development is always UpToDate,
because ZoolDIZ has got many betatesters in Helsinki, Finland near the author.

ZoolDIZ has been developed, keeping in mind, users & sysops own needs and easy
to use. ZoolDIZs most powerful option is to describe all files, without even
ONE keypress! All runs automatic (Unless SysOP wants users to select lines
to be used from @{"DIZ" Link D.}).

    @{b}I asked opinions through CNets own vote-door, and look at these outstanding
    results!:

    @{u}>20% I couldn't use ANYTHING ELSE!@{uu}
     30% I'm in love with ZOOLDIZ!
     30% I LIKE IT; But do not love it.@{ub}

    (And this questionaire was made in the early states of the development!)

 Here is some Information, why to use ZoolDIZ and answers to your questions..:

  @{b}a. What is ZoolDIZ?@{ub}

   - ZoolDIZ is a really good @{"Dizzer" Link D.}.

  @{b}b. Theres Q-Dizolve, and other @{"dizzers" Link D.}.. why to use ZoolDIZ, instead others?@{ub}

   - Because ZoolDIZ is so filled with useful options, that no dizzer can get
     Even close to the ultimate ZooLDIZ!

  @{b}c. hah, hah! that's what you say! Gimme some specs!@{ub}

   - OK!, You asked for it!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. First, ZoolDIZ supports various formats:

  * JPEG Images : Will search Size & Color data, and add it to desc!
  * GIF Images : Will search Size & Color data, and add it to desc!
  * IFF Images : Will search Size & Color data, and add it to desc!

  * DMS Archives : Seeks ordinary description (plain file_id.diz)
  * LHA Archives : Seeks ordinary description + module & readme scan)
  * LZX Archives : Seeks ordinary description + module & readme scan)
  * ZIP Archives : Seeks ordinary description + module scan)
  * ARJ Archives : Seeks ordinary description (plain file_id.diz)

  * TEXT files : Seeks the desc. from: TXT, DOC, DOX, DOK & NFO files

  * Amiga exes : Seeks ordinary description...

  * Modules       : S3M/XM/MTM/6&8Ch/PlaySID

    - Will scan them for author, full name & Channel specifications!

                    MultiChannel: [xxch] Name.......................(Author)
                    PlaySID     : [SID] Name.......................(Author)
                    ProTracker  : [MOD] Name.......................(Author)

    - All formats can be -LHA/LZX/ZIP- archived or packed with -XPK or PP-!

  * Full mp1, mp2 & mp3 support!!

    - [MP3] Test Song...................(Test Artist)

       Album: Test Album (1998)
       Time.: 02:18
       Type.: 128 kbit/s 44.100 kHz

2.  Full XPK / PowerPacker / LHA / LZX / ZIP support

3. ZooLDIZ has got it's own description editors to help users to describe
    files easier....!

4. If ZoolDIZ does not found description it will try to create it on its own!

5. Supports different language files! (not in the demo-version)

6. @{u}It even supports AMINET - README FILES, AND WILL SEEK IT FOR SHORT-DESC@{uu}!

And this is not all, but I would go nuts, if I'd list them all !

Look at here to see @{"more features that ZoolDIZ offers" Link O.}

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  d. @{b}WOW, I'm Impressed! I do not need to ask anything anymore. I'll just
     go, and install ZoolDIZ!@{ub}

   - That's what I expected... ANd remember... If you need a option etc., just
     contact the author, and he will help you!

ZoolDIZ-II -is- DevelWARE - You must follow the @{"rules" Link 9.}!

@ENDNODE

@NODE 2. "ZoolDIZ installation"

@{b}The installation part in ZoolDIZ is easy just follow the steps: @{ub}

@{i}@{u}@{b}1st step@{ui}@{ub}@{uu}: If you're using other dizzers, then remove them immediately! Other
          dizzers will cause ZoolDIZ to malfunction, because they will share the
          same resources!

@{i}@{u}@{b}2nd step@{ui}@{uu}@{ub}: @{fg shine}Run the Installer script by clicking it from the WorkBench!@{fg text}

@{i}@{u}@{b}3rd step@{ui}@{uu}@{ub}: Add the ZoolDIZ/ZoolCon.rexx to maintenance files as ARexx doors

@{i}@{u}@{b}4th step@{ui}@{uu}@{ub}: Configure ZoolDIZ by executing the ZoolCon.rexx

@{i}@{u}@{b}5th step@{ui}@{uu}@{ub}: Run the Install-BBSMenu & Install-BBSText files!

Now ZoolDIZ is ready to use. You also should performs the extra steps below:

--> Extra steps!

@{i}@{u}@{b}7th step@{ui}@{uu}@{ub}: If you like to use the SentBy / Signature Feature then add

 @{b}[CTRL+Q]@{ub}#0 pfiles:zooldiz/checkit.rexx} to sys.welcome

@{i}@{u}@{b}8th step@{ui}@{uu}@{ub}: If you need external languages (German/Swedish etc.) you can add
          them by editing ZoolDIZ.LANGUAGE(X) files:

    - The (X) means the number of language used (Check the CNet manual, if
      you don't understand!)

    - ZoolDIZ has got two default languages:

     0 = English &
     1 = Suomi (Finnish ;))

   - If you like to create your own, the instructions are in the corresponding
     files... When you're done editing your language files, then send them to
     the @{"author" Link 4.}... (especially looking for German)

@{i}@{u}@{b}9th step@{ui}@{uu}@{ub}: If you like to use Unwanted line-Stripping then@{uu}:

    - Create or edit "Pfiles:ZoolDIZ/ZoolDIZ.STRIP" in text-editor!
    - Enable stripping from the ConfigEditor

    Example:

    - if this string is in the "Pfiles:ZoolDIZ/ZoolDIZ.STRIP" file:

      "from ZIPPO"

    - and this string in DIZ:

      "downloaded from zippo"

     then the whole line will be stripped off!

                            Now it's "DIZ-MOD-DUBBEL-BBS", before this it was:

			    indentification methods!

Version : 2.47Pro 04.02.97: There was a bug which caused some errors when file-
                            name was less than 4 characters long. (eg. C64)

Version : 2.55Pro 07.02.97: Added full support for XPK & PowerPacked files. If
                            some file is packed with either XPK or PP, it will
                            be unpacked and processed like it was never packed
                            (needed: c:xfdDecrunch, Libs: xfdmaster.library,
                            Libs:xpkmaster.library & the XPK compressor libs!)
                            [I think you'll never need this but if you do so,
                            then it's kinda handy to have it around :)]
                            Also fixed some sound-module name parser bugs.
                            Tried to clean up the code a bit, but I think that
                            I should reorganize this baby a bit. Gee, I found
                            a bug which caused ZoolDIZ fail to recognize .LZH!
                            For safety reasons, _no diz_ will be added to EXE
                            files. Changed all external command paths. They
                            will be located in PFiles:ZoolDIZ/External_Comma-
                            nds/ path. No C: nor SYS:C will be used. Therefore
                            "Give names to External MODs" gadget in ZoolCON
                            is obsolete!

Version : 2.57Pro 11.02.97: Fixed some problems with the XPK system. Now xpk
                            CRYPTED files will be ignored. I wrote completely
                            new installation system for ZoolDIZ. Run it!

Version : 2.58Pro 14.02.97: Fixed some PowerPacker support bugs. Optimized &
                            cleaned up the code a lot=>Numerous little chan-
                            ges, additions and bugfixes!

Version : 2.59Pro 23.02.97: Some little fixes, PT-Modules changed to new form:
                            [MOD] Name.........(Author)

Version : 2.60Pro 06.03.97: Enchaced the Module-Authorname scanner a bit,
                            Chanced [SID] to [PSID] & [MOD] to [PTMD]

Version : 2.61Pro 25.03.97: Some internal changes, made a aminet-header/
                            footer system. Finally fixed that MORE?-prompt!

Version : 2.62Pro 16.05.97: Came across with a stupid missing ')' char bug.
                            Could cause errors in modulescan. Fixed.

Version : 2.65Pro 29.11.97: Haa, delays do rule :).. anyway I downloaded this
                            mp3info program and decided to add Mp0-3 support
                            to ZoolDIZ. It took 2 hours, but I think is cer-
                            tainly is worth it. And I changed the [PSID] &
                            [PTMD] tags back to [SID] & [MOD]. I tested only
                            mp2 & mp3.

Version : 2.66Pro 03.12.97: Made a simple ARJ support. Only plain File_id.diz.
                            ZoolDIZ mainfile exceeds 100kb :)

Version : 2.67Pro 08.04.98: Sum major/minor cleanups for public version

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

@{b}Known bugs@{ub}................:

 - None Known... on slow machines ZoolDIZ just won't always work as it should!

 - @{b}These aren't bugs@{ub}...

   1. There are some problems with "Dubbel" - Scan.. For Example..:

   If you upload a archive (ex. with a textfile and 3 sidmodules) and the size
   of the archive is less than 25kbytes, the biggest file will be only proses-
   sed!.. sorry about that, but the possibility, that someone describes a arc-
   hive like this is almost zero! :) (Mail me if you ran into situation like
   ke this!) [read Dubbel scan at @{"Introduction to the world of ZooLDIZ 2" Link 1.}

   2. In localnode More Prompt appears sometimes, but it's CNets fault... Use
   "full interlaced" screen to prevent this from happening...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 - @{fg shine}If you do feel that ZoolDIZ does something that it shouldn't, then contact
   the author and ask about it...@{fg text}

@{b}Things on my TO DO list@{ub}...:

 - Support to more moduleformats (MED etc.)

 - I just can't get any more ideas ;(... I tried to do a real nice visual type
   editor for descriptions, but due the "FEATURES" in CNet, you can't use it
   locally, because the maygetchar cursor problem. (the getchar function shows
   the cursor, but it gives only upper case chars out!...)

   I will anyway add this editor soon...

    If you got a sollution to this, please mail me...

 - AND WHAT DO YOU WANT?... JUST CONTACT @{"ME" Link 4.}, AND REQUEST!!!

                                2150mb of HD, 144mb:s of fast ram.

I also needed these things: Special Hardware used:

                                 MicroCom 28.8k modem,
                                 X-Link 33.6k modem,
                                 ScanDoubler I

                                Software used:

                                 CED 3.5 & 4.2,
                                 GoldED 3.x,
                                 DEMO version of CNet Pro 2.90,
                                 CyberGraphX 3,
                                 DirWork 2.1,
                                 RexxOpt,
                                 RexxMasher,
                                 Term - terminal package
                                 Master Controlling Program (MCP),
                                 VirusChecker,
                                 Virus Z II,
                                 Ofcourse lha, lzx, dms etc.,
                                 CyberGrab for capturing screenshots
                                 KingCon,
                                 and guess what? ARexx!

This software has been fully tested with these machines:

    + A4000/060 + fast
    + A4000/040 + fast
    + A3000/030 + fast
    + A2000/030 + fast
    * A2000/000 + fast
    + A1200/060 + fast
    + A1200/030 + fast
    + A1200/020 + fast
    - A1200/020 no fastmem (insufficient memory: unable to run CNet&ZoolDIZ)
    * A600/000  + fast
    * A500+/000 + fast

(+) Works perfectly
(-) Doesn't work
(*) The 68000 equipped amigas ARE SO DAMN slow that ZoolDIZ isn't the one that
    will cause these machines to work slowly... right? But it will work!

@NODE 7. "Your GUIDE to take the most out of ZOOlDIZ ©!"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  The most powerful option of ZoolDIZ, when compared to other @{"DIZZER" Link D.} softwares
is the flexibility of ZoolDIZ... It will always suite to your needs...

  If you like a socalled "3li73"- board, you can use @{"SENTBY" Link D.}-lines with colors,
description with 99 lines, including group logos, etc... or you can just force
users to pick by hand only few lines from diz, to really tell, what's inside
of the archive...

  If you are describing LHA/LZX archive, ZoolDIZ will scan the arc for possib-
le modules... if it finds only one module, it will se, if the size of the mo-
dule is enough of the whole size of the archive, it will unpack it, and pre-
tend, like it was just a one unpacked module...

  ZooLDIZ will scan all unpacked modules(*) for Author NAME and module NAME...
It will add those informations as description in format:

@{b}(*) & (**)@{ub} NAME................................(AUTHOR)

  If you upload/describe modules and the package contains DiZ, then you can
ignore the whole description and jump into ZoolDIZ - modscan with button (I) !

Easy, isn't it?

  @{u}If you wan't to DELETE all signatures (SENT-BYs), then execute@{uu}:

    @{b}"DELETE_SIGNATURES.rexx"@{ub}.. as a @{u}AREXX-DOOR@{uu} it will do it for you!

  ZoolDIZ may confuse you by all it's unlisted great options... so you'll need
to take your time with ZoolDIZ, to master it, and make your Uploading and
description writing as easy as it will be possible....

  If you want to @{u}ADOPT AMiNET CD-ROMS or similiar system@{uu}, do like this:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(9) For ZoolDIZ testing purposes!> @{b}ao@{ub}

Adopt from which partition @{b}(0)@{ub}? 0

@{b}Pattern:@{ub} ~(*.readme)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------
And ZoolDIZ does the rest!
--------------------------

 TO BE CONTINUED SOMETIME...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(*) Modules that have been extracted from any archive, will also be handled
     like this!

(**) MultiChannel in format: "[00ch] NAME.........................(AUTHOR)"
