Short: Remove border from around WB icons. Author: Kyzer/CSG Uploader: Kyzer/CSG Type: util/wb David Jones wrote a rather nice patch based on one by Kamel Biskri. Simply, it removes the borders drawn round icons by Workbench, in WB2 and above. This is how the old Workbench 1.3 used to do it, and it also looks very nice nowadays with Magic Workbench icons. However, David's patch is rather yucky. For a start, it's HUGE (676 bytes). Also, you have to run it sometime after Workbench starts but before it starts drawing icons, otherwise 'a few' borders are left drawn in, and you have to choose 'Redraw All' from the Workbench menu. Furthermore, if you quit Workbench and restart it, the patch stops working - but you can't re-install it. So, anyway, the correct solution is to throw the program away and use the excellent NewIcons instead, which does this job and more. But, for those who don't use NewIcons much, I've written an equivalent patch - OldIcons. INSTALLATION Run this command in your S:user-startup any time before Workbench starts. The patch is permanently installed until you reboot, even if you restart Workbench. You do not need to run it more than once, and you do not need to 'RUN' the command. Version 1.2 expands by one or two bytes, but is slightly faster. Requires 2.0 or better. **************************************************************************** * THIS PROGRAM IS PART OF THE "KYZER'S SMALLS" COLLECTION * * * * The KyzSmlClxn is a set of very small, but useful CLI commands. * * * * Source in assembler is included.
