You can choose between writing the URLs to a file, write to standard outfile (see Config and Usage) or load them into your browser. Currently supported browsers are iBrowse, AWeb and Voyager. A CLI interface is also available. Available languages are German, English and Portuguese. Copy the "tritonrexx.library" and the "rexxapp.library" into your LIBS: dir. @endnode @node config "Configuration" I have written a configprogram, for easier configuring and keeping your old configs in new SeekHTTP versions. Now, let's config: Start it by double clicking on its icon, and it should open its window. Explaination of the window: Your Browser: Select there your browser, currently supported are IBrowse, AWeb and Voyager. Browserpath: Select there your browser executeable. Start Browser (CLI): If you want that your browser is started after SeekHTTP has finished scanning a file, then check this box. (used by CLI interface only) Fontname: Type in the name of the font you would like to use with SeekHTTP. Fontsize: Type in the fontsize you want to use. Change fonts: Click on this button and a font requester opens. Select the font and its size, the values will then be filled in the fontname and fontsize gadget. Standard outfile: Select there the standard outfile. The standard outfile is a kind of central output file, e.g. when you use SeekHTTP from CLI and don't specify an output file, then the standard Outfile is used as output file. In the GUI you can select between choosing an output file or saving the URLs to the standard outfile. Pubscreen: Type in the name of a pubscreen where SeekHTTP should open its window on. Language: Select there your language. Save: Save settings. Cancel: Quit. @endnode @node use "Usage" At first, when you enter an outputfile, that doesn't exists, SeekHTTP creates it for you. You never need to create an output file by yourself! (Hi Rodney! ;)) Start SeekHTTP by double clicking on its icon. Then select the inputfile(s) in the filerequester and click on "Ok". There is no limit, how much files you select and there is no limitation, what filetype you choose. You can even select a binary file, but the chance that you find URLs in a binary file, are very low. :-) TIP: Don't use HTML files, the results are not looking very good. The main gui will open. Explanation of the menu: Config...: Start configprogram, the new configs will not be used, when SeekHTTP is still running. They will be used when you start SeekHTTP the next time. Write to file: Same as the "Write to file" button in the gui. Send to browser: Same as the "Send to browser" button in the gui. Quit: Guess what this means. :-) Explanation of the gui: Inputfile(s): A list, where all inputfiles without the path are displayed. Save to frame: Here you can select the outputfile. If you select "Select file", a filerequester will open, where you can select the outputfile. If you select "standard outfile", the URLs will be written to the standard outfile, that you (hopefully) have specified in the config program. (above things apply only if you select the "Write to file" operation) Browser frame: If you check the checkbox "Start browser?", SeekHTTP will do its job as normal and then start your browser and load the outputfile in it. (applies only if you selected "Write to file") Write to file: When you select "Write to file", the gui will close and a filerquester will open. In this filerequester you should select the outputfile, and then click on "Ok". If you have selected "standard outfile" in the Save to Frame, no filerequester will open. When you have selected the outputfile, SeekHTTP will begin to work. Send to browser: When you select "Send to browser", the gui will close and SeekHTTP will begin to work. When it has done his job, your browser will be started and the outputfile (a tempfile, if you have selected "Select file" in the Save to frame or the standard outfile, if you have selected "standard outfile") will be loaded into your browser, and SeekHTTP quits quiet. After you clicked on "Write to file" or "Send to browser" a progressbar will open. The upper progressbar shows you how much files are already scanned and how much are to go, under this bar is the file displayed that is currently scanned, the lower progressbar displays the line that is currently scanned. When the progressbar is closed and the files were scanned, then a window opens that tells you that SeekHTTP is finished. You can then choose between quit now or starting a new search. If you have checked the "Start browser" checkbox: After you have clicked on one of the two buttons, your browser will come up and load the outputfile. (The above things apply only, when you have selected the "Write to file" operation!) If you have selected "Send to browser": Then no requester will appear that tells you that SeekHTTP is finished, but your browser will be loaded and the outputfile (tempfile or standard outfile) will be loaded into it. Thats the whole usage! I think it's easy, but I have written it. :-) @endnode @node cli "CLI usage" There are two ways to use SeekHTTP from CLI. The cli syntax is [output file] You can specify an output file, if you don't specify one the standard outfile is taken as output file. Examples: rx SeekHTTP RAM:Test This will scan the file RAM:Test and write the URLs to the standard outfile. rx SeekHTTP RAM:Test RAM:Output.html This will scan the file RAM:Test and write the URLs to RAM:Output.html. @endnode @node script "Support scripts" I have written some scripts to use SeekHTTP with them. SHYAM: A script for YAM. Select a mail in YAM and start SHYAM. SHYAM will overgive the mail to SeekHTTP, and SeekHTTP will search for urls in the mail. The urls are written to standard outfile. SHMD1.16: A script for MicroDot 1.16. Select a message and start SHMD1.16. The founden URLs will be written to standard outfile. NOTE: This script doesn't work with MicroDot II! I'll wait for the release of MDII 1.0 before I try to write a script. I'm searching for translators! @endnode @node trans "Translating" Since V3.2 I made it easier to add localizations, this is now simply done by a textfile, I called them "Language-Modules", they look like uncompiled catalog files. I you want to translate SeekHTTP into your language, then take the English.lang file in the "Language-Modules/" dir, load it into a texteditor and translate the english strings into your language, and please send your translated file to me, I'll include it into the next SeekHTTP release. @endnode @node reg "Registration" At first, I don't want money from you, I just want to know that someone uses this program. When you are a registered User, I'll mail new versions of SeekHTTP to you, and I will answer questions faster. You have the full version, there are no limits for not registered users. (I don't want to lock someone out) If you like SeekHTTP, please register. For easy registering I have written a register program. Start YAM (for making the registration mail). Start RegisterSeekHTTP. Fill out the fields, explaination down here, and click on "Register me". RegisterSeekHTTP will write the registration mail in YAM and you just have to send it. Cancel: quit. @{b}Thanks for registering!!!@{ub} @endnode @node other "My other projects" My other projects are: AminetFTPMail: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AminetFTPMail is a program, that let's you get the Aminet Recent Uploads by FTP-Mail. You select the Aminet Recent mail in YAM, start AminetFTPMail, select the files you want to get in a comfortable list and click the start button. AminetFTPMail will write a mail to a ftp-mail site of your choise and the only thing you have to do then is sending the mail. Short info about FTP-Mail: FTP-Mail is a service, that let's you get files from a ftp site per mail. You write a mail with the files, that you want to get to a ftp site, that supports ftp mail and this ftp site will mail the files that you want to get to you. This service is excellent for getting aminet uploads, but because writing the mails per hand is not very comfortable, I have written AminetFTPMail. Features: - TritonGUI - comfortable Configprogram - you can select a predefined FTP-Mail site or specify a own ftp-mail address - you can choose the max. mailsize - easy to use - no limit how much files you want to get (the only exception is the size of your email account ;-)) - you have two lists, in the upper you can select which upload you want, and in the lower are the uploads, that you want, displayed and can be removed everytime. - simple but powerful - the only thing you have to do is selecting which files you want, and sending the mail :-) - you can select one recent mail or let AminetFTPMail scan the whole folder for recent mails, you can then get files from more than one recent mail - PropFonts - you can use your own fonts - you have a status panel that shows you the most important things - you can choose between getting the .readme files or not - I DON'T WANT MONEY FROM YOU FOR THIS! (but if you still want to send me some money, I won't stop you from doing so ;-)) Available: Aminet, comm/mail Current Version: 2.0a AminetGetFTP: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A sisterprogram of AminetFTPMail. It has the same gui, does the same things, the only differents are that it doesn't write FTP-Mails, it starts AmFTP, connects to a aminet site of your choice and downloads all files that you have selected. Features: - TritonGUI - downloads files very fast - comfortable Configprogram - you can select a predefined aminet site or specify a own server address - easy to use - no limit how much files you want to get - you have two lists, in the upper you can select which upload you want, and in the lower are the uploads, that you want, displayed and can be removed everytime. - you can store files you want to get on disk, collect them and get them all at once at a later time - PropFonts - you can use your own fonts - if you click on "Get the files" and you are not online, AminetGetFTP will run Miami and go online - progressbar that shows you what AmFTP and AminetGetFTP is currently doing - simple but powerful - you can open it on a pubscreen - if you wish it goes offline automatically after the uploads are on your HD - you can configure AminetGetFTP to execute a command or script before it goes offline (e.g. when you have a account at Monolith you can dismount your host before AminetGetFTP advices Miami to go offline) - if you want, AminetGetFTP extracts your received archive to a directory of your choice - MultiMail, when you have MultiMail enabled, then AminetGetFTP scans on its start your current YAM folder for recent mails and you can then select the recent mail by Next Mail/Last Mail buttons, the date of the recent mail is also displayed, when you disable it then you have to choose one recent mail before you run AminetGetFTP - I DON'T WANT MONEY FROM YOU FOR THIS!
