A computer hacker gets into the US Defence Department's top secret
UFO files,the MJ Documents and passes them on to Agent Mulder who, with
Scully covering for him, goes to investigate what appears to be the
location of a train freezer car full of possable alien bodies. The
government, lead by the "Cigarette Smoking Man" will do anything to
prevent the findings from coming out, even if it means killing Mulder.
When Mulder returns alive, it would appear that Operation Paper Clip, an
operation by the German dating from World War II, may be the reason for
the assassination of his father, and a connection with the abduction of
his sister. After Mulder and Scully investigate the contents of a mine
in West Virginia, they discover vast quantities of filing cabinets,
easch containing medical records and DNA samples, connected with
Operation Paperclip. Despite the loss of the DAT tape, Skinner acquires
the help of Albert Hosteen in a bid to secure Mulder and Scully's
safety, and the re-opening of The X-Files.
