Ninentdo, the people behind those awful plumbers, the Mario Bros (why they are super is beyond me), have joined the add on market with their latest Game Boy peripheral - a digital camera.
Yes, you read it right. You can now turn that humble Tetris machine (that's all I use mine for), into a full blown digital camera. You will be able to take up to 30 pictures , probably at an amazing low resolution with only two colours. Hey, what do you want for £50? You will also be able to print them with the optional printer, but we all seem to be wondering what it will cost. Hundreds no doubt.
It will work with both the normal and Pocket Gameboy, and you can join and edit pictures, but whether you will be able to download them to your PC is not clear, although I personally think you will not be able to. If you could, then this would be a serious contender to a usually expensive digital camera, although picture quality does speak its own weight. I doubt the Gameboy version will be up to much, and will go the same way as most of these Japanese fads - everyone will buy one, but nobody will use it after a week or two.
You will be able to buy them later this summer, but for those of you lucky enough to be connected to the Internet (isn't everybody these days?) can find out more at The Nintendo Website where all will become apparent.
