»Who knows Linux?
I bought the Red-Hat-Linux-CD and have the problem that I can't install it! An installation directly off the CD is impossible, because the CD-ROM drive is connected to the PCMCIA port of my A1200 and Linux doesn't offer a driver for this.
So install off a hard disk! I copied all necessary files to hard disk and created the supplementary disk with File2Disk.
The installation program runs until the Supplementary-disk is requested (Remove the Install-disk and insert the Supplementary-disk). But it doesn't access it even if it is in the disk drive and an Install-disk doesn't exist, because the data are in RAM. A call to the telephone hotline (+49 (0)441/9587763) didn't succeed, they told me I should use "Alt+F3" to change screens and look what's written there...?!?!
Now I'm puzzled. Maybe someone had a similar problem or even knows a solution? Write me! I'm grateful for any tips and tricks!
