In the moment it is uncertain, if there will be an Amiga version of the WWW browser Opera, after the programmerteam that was to port it turned it down. Now Opera looks for new developers, who want to continue the work. If you are interested send an eMail to magic@operasoftware.com.
The WWW browser in development, IProbe, is in its test phase. According to informations on the IProbe homepage (http://www.diku.dk/students/duff/IProbe.html) the first public version is planned for February.
The APC&TCP computerclub swapped the IRC server. Since now you can chat (in German) on irc.germany.net under #apc&tcp .
After 1998 wasn't good at all for the magazine market in UK the early days of the new year seem to be promising, because the new print-magazine Amigactive is under development. More infos are at http://www.btinternet.co.uk/~pppsales/amigactive.htm .
Fleecy Moss, former employee of Amiga, Inc. started the project 'KOSH', which has the target to develop a new computer system of the next generation under inclusion of the users. More infos are on the KOSH website (http://www.kosh.net).
