SiDo^Depth, bad boy of the scene!!! by: WiseGuy/Giants You aren't a criminal before you get caught said SiDo to me, perhaps he was right. The scene is not that a innocent place either. What im gonna write in this article is the truth, in case you just think its a eye catch. SiDo's criminal career started when he was about 16 year old. At the time he was atending something we call folkehøyskole here in Norway, kinda like a highschool, but you live at the school. In his spare time he where stealing car stereos and such, nothing big. But sure as hell anoying for his victims I guess, since the damage to the car would likely cost more than the cheap hong kong made stereo. SiDo got almost caught back then, the police dragged him down town for some questions, something that made SiDo quite nervous. Quite understanding, since it was his first experience with the police. SiDo said the policeman questioning him was not exactly a rocket scientist, so he constructed his alibis as the questions went along. Next major event happend in 1995. When one day three policemen knocked on the door, home where he lived. SiDo hadn't been taking part of any robbery, but was taking for "fencing" of computer equipment. Fencing is like when recieveing stolen goods and sell it to earn profit, in case anyone didn't know. Apparently this was the first time SiDo's parents come to know what their cute innocent boy had been upto. Perhaps im using a little irony here but its really nothing to laugh of. SiDo was the only of five who had to serve time for this. Two of the other guys did sell out many people to get free. Even they had been arrested for over 20 cases of felonies. This was SiDo's first sentence and he got 36 days suspended sentence and got two years probation time. That will say if you do something bad, you have to go straight to prison and serve the 36 days in addition to what time you get for the next offence. It was about this time that SiDo where trading some big time to. And soon someone began to monitor his phone lines (and still are, even the line have been disconnected for about two years). Some one had apparenty reacted when SiDo's old man's phone line that had been almost unused for 10 years picked up data traffic for about 12.000.- NOK in two months (That is like £1200). SiDo told they where called "OT" or something like that. That could be translated into "surveillance service". Guess some people got paranoid. But watch out, perhaps someone is monitoring you to! But life goes on. Two year is a long time, and it went as SiDo's brother had said. It wouldn't take a year before SiDo was back in the prison. It started out on a place called "Løkken". SiDo and a friend did break into a unhabituated small farm, just to have a place to stay/live. They had been visiting a girl they knew. Then SiDo's friends mother who lived next door called the police and told them they where armed. When SiDo and his friend found out they split. They found a old green Toyota Corolla with they keys within, asking for being stolen. They went south, the police didn't knew where they was heading. So it was not that much heat on their tail. Not before they started to leave some tracks trough Østerdalen. The car did soon get empty of gas, so they stopped on a cloded gas station on a place called Kvikne. They tried to shoot their way in. But the glass where of the unbreakable kind, and the only hole they got in it to SiDo's surprise where 9mm. Try crawl trough that one! They continued to a place called Tynset where they fixed another car. SEAT Toledo TDI. Not even sold yet, from a guy who owned a carlot (a place where they sell cars). Soon after this they lifted with a truck that did transport vegetables. But they drove straight into a road block with armed policemen. The police had sub-machine guns, bullet proof west's and such. So SiDo and his friend was not that in high spirits at the time. But the police was quite nervous, and the nervous police did make SiDo quite nervous to! One move and... well then I couldn't write SiDo's story today. SiDo looked into the eyes of a policeman who aimed at his head, and started to wonder if there was a life after, and if he where going upstairs or downstairs! The law finally caught up with the two notorious criminals. SiDo served a sentence on 2.5 year for this adventure. He was released from prison 221297. So concerned parents watch your kids! I asked SiDo how it was serving time. And it was not that bad, or fun but some fun things did happend there. I didn't get to know what! Dont think I would like to either! But it was mostly boring. I asked if he could take his computer with him. But you had to apply for that, and have a good reason. But he had cable tv and a cassette player on his cell. Cabel tv? Geee! Is the Norwegians prisons like hotels? Well I dont want to find out. I asked if SiDo thought it would be less crimes in Norway if the sentences where harder, and the prisons more like the ones found in the USA, where you perhaps have to share cell with a fat negro witht he name bubba, that his only purpose is to get a piece of your ass. And guards not caring shit about the prisoners. But no he thought it would be a much harder core of criminals, and a whole lot more gay prisoners! But SiDo said it was some tendency of that in Norwegian prisons to, but not much. Keep that in mind if you have to serve time in Norway.
