I have nothing to do with the development of Micq, so please don't send me any questions.
This document is made after my own expirience of mirc and is meant to help in getting it
to work.
Micq is not approved by mirablis, using mirc to connect to their server could maybe be
illegal??

#1.
 You must register with ICQ to get a #UIN and password
 According to one of the below:
 Run a emulator that handels some of the ICQ-versions
 Use another computer
 Ask someone to do it for you
 Yuo can download ICQ from www.icq.com

 Micq's leagal status is unclear, therfore you can't find it at aminet.
 Ask around on IRC to get it.

 socket.library is needed to run Micq

 You must be connected to internet to run Micq.

 I had some difficulties to start micq from some shellwindows, could maybe
 be to small a stack??

 Micq is a shellbased program that handels some of ICQ's functions.
 When you run micq for the first time you are promted to give your #UIN
 and password. IF you type "help" you get a list of the commands.

 
 help
 auto    Displays your autoreply status
 auto [on|off]   Toggles sending messages when your status is DND, NA, etc.
 auto message    Sets the message to send as an auto reply
 w       Displays the current status of everyone on your contact list
 change [#]      Changes your status to the status number.
                 Without a number it lists the available modes.
 info uin         Displays general info on uin
 online  Mark as Online.
 away    Mark as Away.
 na      Mark as Not Available.
 occ     Mark as Occupied.
 dnd     Mark as Do not Disturb.
 ffc     Mark as Free for Chat.
 inv     Mark as Invisible.
 q       Logs off and quits
 auth uin        Authorize uin to add you to their list
 msg uin/message Sends a message to uin
 a message       Sends a message to the last person you sent a message to
 r message       Replys to the last person to send you a message
        Sending a blank message will put the client into multiline mode.
        Use . on a line by itself to end message.

 ICQ is a program that lets you see if your friends are connected to internet
 or not (If they run (M)Icq that is.), and send them messages.
 The server is somtimes overloaded making use slow.
 There is a bloke that wanted to do a leagal port of icq and he was told he 
 could, but mirablis has now changed their mind. Hopefully the use of micq
 causes some disturbuance at their server.

 In this arhive are some helpfiles to start micq from workbench or shell.
 Put Micq_shell_startup in S:
     Micq_Go anywhere you like
 Rename Micq-xx till Micq and put it in C: ( Not included, see #1.1)

 Edit the file .micqrc, this file is created by micq the first time you log in.
 It goes where the file ENV:HOME points, normally SYS: .
