*** Dokumentation zu OnlyMail.rexx *** Version 1.3 31.Dec.96 Miami, AmiPOP and SMTPPost (for example Voodoo) hand in hand. --------------------------------------------------------------- The English documentation is behind the German one. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wer hat sich nicht auch schon darüber geärgert, daß seine Mail nicht automatisch gesendet und empfangen wird, wenn Miami Online ist? OnlyMail.rexx erledigt dies für Dich. Du must dazu OnlyMail.rexx als auszuführendes ARexx-Programm beim Miami-Ereignis Online einstellen. Geht Miami daraufhin Online, so holt OnlyMail.rexx Deine Mails ab und sendet gleichzeitig die Mails, die Du zum Senden bereitgestellt hast. Während OnlyMail.rexx aktiv ist, ist Miami iconifiziert. Woher hat OnlyMail.rexx seinen Namen? OnlyMail.rexx kann nämlich noch mehr. Wie Du vielleicht schon festgestellt hast, besitzt es auch ein Icon. Doppelklickst Du auf das Icon während Miami nicht läuft, so wird Miami gestartet, geht Online, holt und sendet Deine Mails, geht Offline und wird beendet. Dies ist nützlich, wenn Du nur nach neuer Mail schauen willst. Das beigefügte ARexx-Programm Miami-End.rexx kann als Ende-Ereignis in Miami eingestellt werden und startet beim Beenden von Miami, falls neue Mail eingegangen ist, Voodoo. Installation: ------------- OnlyMail.rexx sollte in das Miami-Hauptverzeichnis kopiert werden. Du mußt es vor Benutzung jedoch noch mit einem Texteditor (z.B. Ed) laden, nach dem Vorkommen von drei Fragezeichen (???) durchsuchen und dort jeweils Deine eigenen Parameter eintragen. In Miami ist es bei Ereignissen (Events) bei Online einzustellen. Miami-End.rexx kann beim Miami-Ereignis End eingestellt werden, muß jedoch auch noch nach den drei Fragezeichen durchsucht werden. OnlyMail.rexx funktioniert mit AmiPOP V1.18 und V1.19 (V1.20 ist mir mangels C-Compiler zur Zeit nicht zugänglich). AmiPOP V1.91, welches mit Voodoo mitgeliefert wird, funktioniert nicht, da es beim Aufruf von ARexx oder Shell einen GURU verursacht. Tips zum Benutzen von Miami mit MultiFax: ----------------------------------------- Wer MultiFax von TKR benutzt, wird wahrscheinlich schon festgestellt haben, daß MultiFax die OwnDevUnit.library scheinbar nicht richtig handhabt. Hat MultiFax die Schnittstelle abgegeben und bekommt sie nach etwas längerer Zeit wieder zurück, so hängt sich MultiFax auf. Um dies zu umgehen könnte man MultiFax mit dem ARexx-Befehl "receive 0" dazu veranlassen die Schnittstelle von sich aus komplett freizugeben und nach dem Ende von Miami mit "receive 1" den automatischen Empfang wieder aktivieren. So weit so gut. "receive 0" funktioniert auch einwandfrei, aber "receive 1" funktioniert leider nicht (Diesen Fehler habe ich schriftlich und anschließend auch nochmal telefonisch im Dezember 1995 [nicht 1996] an TKR gemeldet und nur die telefonische Antwort bekommen "Der Fehler ist nicht bekannt. In Version 3 funktionierte es einwandfrei.":-( ). Leider habe ich Version 4 und mußte mir daher etwas anderes überlegen. Wer also MultiFax 4 benutzt sollte eine Datei Miami-Start.rexx mit folgenden Befehlen erstellen und bei Miami einstellen: IF ~SHOW('ports','MultiFaxRexx') THEN ADDRESS command 'Run >NIL: MultiFax:MFRexx' ADDRESS 'MultiFaxRexx' exitspooler In die Datei Miami-End.rexx sollte folgende Zeile eingefügt werden: ADDRESS command run '>NIL: Multifax:Spooler' ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- The English documentation: -------------------------- I'm sorry. OnlyMail.rexx will get and send your mail automatically when Miami is Online. If you want to go Online only to get and send mails and then directly go Offline, you can use the same script by clicking on the Icon. The Script Miami-End.rexx starts Voodoo when new mail had arrived and you quit Miami. Installation: ------------- - Copy OnlyMail.rexx and Miami-End.rexx to your Miami drawer. - Load the ARexx scripts with an text editor and look for three question-marks (???). There you must set your own parameters. - Define OnlyMail.rexx as the Online-Event in Miami and Miami-End.rexx as the End-Event. - You must use AmiPOP V1.1?. (I've tested OnlyMail with AmiPOP 1.18 and 1.19 and it works fine.) You can't use AmiPOP V1.91 because it will crash with a guru when running from ARexx or Shell. Usage: - When Miami is getting Online, it will automatically receives and sends your Mail. During the transmission Miami will be iconify. - If you only want to going Online to transmit your mails, you must not run Miami. Do only doubleclicking the icon of OnlyMail.rexx. Than OnlyMail.rexx starts Miami, gets your new mail, sends your mail, goes Offline and quits Miami.
