DESCRIPTION

   This little program  was made  especialy for users of  Mail Manager
but one may be used with some others mail editors too.

   By using this software you speed up the mail import operation. Yes,
this will be realy faaaaaast! The standard alhorithm is:

- run mailer;
- wait for end of all transfers;
- make import of received mails.

But MailNotify broke this rule! The import of mails to the mail editor
will be made simultaneously  with work of mailer in asynchronous mode.
Program MailNotify sends the import command to the rexx-port  of  mail
editor as soon as the mailer places the new block of mail packets into
inbound directory. As result you do  not  waste  more  time  with  the
waiting for end of import all received files. Really after mailer done
its work then you wait only for end of import the last received file.

REQUIREMENT

   This software do not requires more:

- icon.library version 36 or above;
- rexxsyslib.libraey version 36 or above.

USAGE

   The usage of MailNotify is not hard. Please take following steps:

- run mail editor;
- run MailNotify (no difference from cli or from Workbench);
- be happy. ;)

Yes, it is all! MailNotify runs the mailer independently and stops its
work after mailer finished.

PS. I think, this is good idea to make the special menu  in  the  mail
editor for run MailNotify or configurate some button (for example, the
"Import" button in the MailManager) for it.

CONFIGURATION

   The configuration of MailNotify is made by its icon. As now,  there
are four tooltypes which control the work of program. There are:

INBOUND  - the directory which mailer places received files into;
MAILER   - cli-command for run mailer. It may have parameters;
REXXPORT - The casesensitive name of rexx-port of mail editor;
REXXCOM  - The rexx-command which will be send to the rexx-port
           for make mail import.

As example:

INBOUND=MAIL:Inbound
MAILER=MAIL:bin/Trapdoor CALL BOSS
REXXPORT=MAILMANAGER
REXXCOM=MM_Import

PLANES

   May be it will be  useful  to  run  the  pre-configurated  external
cli-command  instead of the sending rexx-command to rexx-port. Please,
let me know.
   Make locale if it will be need somebody.
