   Okay, if you've been using the old Story Interactive--Forget everything
 you've learned about it. This new version has changed so much it's hard
 to believe. Why? Because I hated the old Story Interactive.

   It's been a while since I released Story Interactive 1.1, and I've had
 version 1.2 working for quite a while now, but I didn't release it because
 I wanted to get everything as fast as possible and as WORKING as possible.

   Now, enough small talk let's get down to business...

Installing
==========

   If you're using an older version of Story Interactive a lot needs to
 be changed. But just follow these instructions and then change your menu
 entry to fit.   (Explained below)

 1. Create a directory in Doors: named StoryInteractive. OR un-lha this
    archive in Doors: directory and it should be created for you. If you
    don't have a doors: assignment then don't worry... just copy Storyi.rexx
    to S: and use that path in the menu entry. (Explained below)

 2. The Doors:StoryInteractive directory should contian the following files:

    StoryI.rexx     StoryI.doc      MainMenu.ans       Title.ans

    If you copied storyi.rexx to the S: directory don't worry about any
    of these files.

    NOTE: If some of your users don't have ANSI support you might want to
          change or delete the MainMenu.ans and Title.ans files so those users
          won't see the ansi code garbage.

 3. Log on the your bbs and add a menu entry like the following...
    Executable, OVERLAY, Cli-Mode = NO The rest shouldn't matter.

   Path of executable...
   =====================
     rx Doors:StoryInteractive/StoryI %port, <YOUR NAME>, %name, %level

   Or if you put it in the S: directory...
   =======================================
     rx S:StoryI.rexx %port, <YOUR NAME>, %name, %level

   NOTE: Place the name of your account in the <YOUR NAME> space... This is
         the account that feedback will be sent to.
         NOTE THE SPACES AFTER THE COMMAS!

   For example mine is...
   ======================
   rx Doors:StoryInteractive/StoryI %port, Noah Cunningham, %name, %level

 4. Go into the program and type: 6 for Sysop Menu.
                     Then select: 1 for Start New Story

    Give your story a name, and you're set! I do, however, recommend
    making the first entry in your story to assure that it goes in the
    right direction.

Changes From Version 1.1
========================

  o No need to press return after menu options.

  o When adding to story you don't have to press return when nearing
     the end of a line... it jumps to the next line after about 75
     characters.

     NOTE: Sysop feedback function isn't as friendly.

  o After you finish your addition you press Control-Z ON A NEW LINE
     now, like in the message editor.

  o Added logs. Pretty good too.

  o Sysop Menu added... easy to create new story, and view logs.

  o NO MORE LONG LINES WHICH CAUSED FLOODING OF SCREEN. The lines are all
     less than 78 lines.

  o More prompt is more accurate and now is eraed after you hit yes.

  o  Added Abort entry option.

  o Added ANSI main menu and title screen.

  o  Added on-line instructions.  (Nessessary?!?!?)

  o Maybe some other things. I can't remember them all. I deleted the
     history file!
