 The best way to use LockupV4.3 is by using @{" LockupTools " link 9}.

 Just double click on the LockupTools43 icon in the LT drawer and
 LockupTools will give you easy access to LockWB, EDL-U & EDL-M.

 The best way to use Lockup is to @{" install " link 5} it.  If you want to test Lockup
 first then Double Click on the @{fg shine}SetAssign@{fg text} Icon.

 When you have installed Lockup their are 3 ways you can use Lockup:-

 1. Double click on the icon. ( L4.3 ).
 2. Open Shell and type @{fg shine}Lockup:LockupV4.3@{fg text}
 3. Double click on the @{fg shine}LockWB@{fg text} icon in the @{fg shine}end-s/@{fg text} drawer.

 If you use option 3 then you will be able to select which screen you want
 Lockup to use.

 If everything is ok you should see this @{" window ", link "Lo.IFF/MAIN"}.
 This is Lockup's window, which you will see every time you bootup.

 Since this is the first time you have used the program you will not have
 setup any other users.  To get back to before you ran the program you
 must enter a username and password.

 User Name:- @{fg shine}main.a@{fg text}
  Password:- @{fg shine}password@{fg text}

 If you have created more than one user you can use any one you want.
 E.G. if you created new username called @{fg shine}ab.c@{fg text} and the password was @{fg shine}cool@{fg text}.
 Then you would enter the username @{fg shine}ab.c@{fg text} with the password @{fg shine}cool@{fg text}, and you
 would get back to before we ran Lockup

 The window contains 3 gadgets:-

 1. @{fg shine}About@{fg text} - Press this button to display infomation about the program.

 2. @{fg shine}User Name@{fg text} - This string gadget is selected when the program starts.
                Enter you user name in here and press Return.  When you
                press return the Password gadget is selected.

 3. @{fg shine}Password@{fg text}- Enter your password here and press Return.

 NOTE: When you type the password all you will see is @{fg shine}***@{fg text} instead of
       letters.  This is so that people can't see your password.

 If you get both the User Name and Password correct then the window will
 close and you will be able to access Workbench.

 If is the first time of using the program then:-

 Type in your old password and press return.  Then the 'New Password' gadget
 will be selected.  So type in a new password and press return.

 Press @{fg shine}Save@{fg text} to save the new password.  If you get the old password wrong
 then an error message will apper.

 Press @{fg shine}Help@{fg text} for some help.
 Press @{fg shine}Cancel@{fg text} to use the old password.

 To use the program Double Click on the @{fg shine}ELP-M@{fg text} icon.

 A window will apper asking you to enter the main user password.  Do so and
 press return.  If you are not the main user press Cancel.

 If you get it correct the window will close and another window will apper.
 If you get it wrong the program will exit and return you to Workbench.

 Note: If you have not edited the main users password then the main users
 password is @{fg shine}password@{fg text}.

 The window is made up of 2 parts:-
 1. The Users panel ( the top box ).
 2. The Main panel ( thr bottom box).

 This panel is used to create username with passwords or edit exsiting
 username passwords.

 @{fg shine}3 Easy Steps to creating a new username with password.@{fg text}

 1. Click in User Name gadget with the mouse and enter a username.
    - This can be anything you want, but I recomend you use your initials
      with a dot then a letter. eg @{"fg shine}sk.a@{"fg text}.

 2. Click in the Password gadget with the mouse and enter a password for
    that user to use.
    - This password can be changed with @{" EditLockupPassword-Users " link users} later.

 3. Press Save to save the username and password.

 More help can be obtained by pressing the @{fg shine}Help@{fg text} button in the User Panel.

 This panel is used to edit the main user password.

 1. Click in the Password gadget in the main panel and delete what it
    contains.

 2. Type in a new password.

 3. Press Save

 The password will then be saved.

        It is a good idea to write this password down.  Remember to keep

 This panel is the top half of the window with 2 string gadgets and 3 button
 gadgets.

 @{fg shine}User Name@{fg text} - String gadget - This is where you enter a new user name or you
                             see the current user name in memory.  eg sk.a
                             For your user names I suggest you use the users
                             initials of there names - If your name was
                             Paul Ben Taylor then his user name would be
                             pbt.a

 @{fg shine}Password@{fg text} - String gadget - This is where you enter a new password for a new
                            user or edit the current users password in
                            memory.  It must not have any spaces in it and
                            is limited to 49 letters.

 @{fg shine}Load@{fg text} - Button - When you press this, a file requester will apper asking you
                 to select a user to load.  Pick one.  Note that main.a
                 can`t be loaded.  The file will be loaded and the User Name
                 gadget will be changed to the file you loaded.  Also the
                 password from the file will apper in the Password Gadget.

 @{fg shine}Save@{fg text} - Button - Save the current user file.

 @{fg shine}Help@{fg text} - Button - Displays some help on how to edit/create files.

 To install Lockup double click on the @{fg shine}Install_Lockup@{fg text} icon.

 Follow the commands given by the installer program and select where to
 install Lockup.

 NOTE The install script does not create a drawer for Lockup.  You have to
      do this before running the installer.

 This program also adds lines to the user-startup in the S: drawer.  This
 means that the next time you boot your hard drive Lockup will apper.

 If you have Lockup V 4.2 double click on the @{fg shine}Update_Lockup@{fg text} icon.

 1.0   - Shell based not very good.
 2.0   - Shell better but not good.
 3.0   - Shell and GUI still not good.

 3.6   - GUI ok and easy to use. - Sent To PD.
 3.6-A - GUI same as 3.6, easy to use, but had some problems.

 4.0   - GUI is better and easier to use. - Sent To PD.
 4.0B  - Diffrent GUI. - Sent To PD with V 4.0.
 4.1   - Tried to improve V 4.0 but decided to scrap.

 4.2   - Total rewrite, with lots of new features.  - Sent To PD.

 3. Create more exciting icons for the programs.
 4. Provide an alternative to LockupTools using ATools.  ATools is program
    that was not ready in time for this version.  It allows you to have six
    buttons in that let you launch programs.  The button images can be
    changed.
 5. General Tidying up of the disk/archive.  Also include a uninstall
    program.

 In my oppion FreeWare means that the program/picture/animation/etc does not
 cost the user anything to use.  FreeWare is NOT PD.  Programs/pictures/etc
 that are classed as Public Domain (PD) have no copyright restrictions on
 them.  IE you can do what you want with them and the author can't do
 anything.

 FreeWare however, HAS GOT copyright restrictions on it.  These restrictions
 MUST be obeyed by the user, otherwise the user is breaking the law.

 @{fg shine}Please Note:-@{fg text} In basically the above defintion of FreeWare means that the
               of the copyright of the program remains the author's.
