Installing Lunar Conquest V2.00+ 22/10/96 This installation assumes that you are: Using the CNet BBS program Familiar with the Amiga Not braindead. Step 1: UnLHA the archive. (since you're reading this, you've probably already done that.) If the main file or the maintenance file is missing, you have a problem. Step 2: Put the files in the right place. You should copy the ENTIRE LunarConquest directory into your `PFiles:' directory. You can put the LC-SetUp program somewhere else if you want since you will be running it from Workbench anyway. Step 3: Make the assign. Add a line to your User-Startup as follows: Assign LunarConquest: PFiles:LunarConquest/ Now, either reboot your Amiga or use `Execute Command' from the Workbench and enter the same assign as you put in your User-Startup. It is very important that you do this BEFORE running any of the Lunar Conquest files. If you have the unregistered version, you can't set any of the defaults or set the SysOp Password. You won't be able to use the SysOp functions. You can skip right to Step 5. Step 4: Go to Workbench and double click on the LC-SetUp icon. It will open a screen with all the alterable settings on it. If you move the mouse to the bottom of the screen, the page will scroll up. Moving the mouse to the top of the screen will scroll the page down. Clicking the left mouse button on an item will allow you to change that item. If nothing else, set the SysOp Password (bottom entry). If you don't, you won't be able to access the Sysop Menu. Clicking the right mouse button in the title section will quit the program without saving. Clicking the left mouse button will save the .DFT file and the .PWD file. Step 5: Log on to your BBS. Go to your PFiles section. Enter `A'. When prompted, enter `D' for a DOS program. Enter `LunarConquest:LC' (`LunarConquest:LCu' for the unregistered version) as the program name. Enter `Lunar Conquest V2.00 by FBN' for the program description. Enter `%1 %7' as the arguments. Disable More Mode. Allow only one user at a time. Save the entry. Congratulations! You've completed the installation procedure for Lunar Conquest V2.00+. Now, log on to your BBS and play.
