(very pretty) It's fully customisable and very user frendly (I hope) NetBar v5.0 is FREEWARE but Gui4Cli (c) D.Keletsekis is SHAREWARE (See below) and is nothing to do with me but I recommend getting it as with it you can make some very good GUIs with very little Knowledge. Or you can make some bad ones (i.e. NetBar He He He) You can copy and give NetBar v5.0 to your freinds etc but it must not be buggered in anyway because I don't want the hassle. NetBar v5.0 can not be sold for profit except a copying charge. NetBar v5.0 can be placed on Aminet CD's and the like. I give no warrantee for NetBar v5.0 and take no resonsability for it in any way. Requirements:- !! Have not tested on lower than A1200 !! (but should work on most) Asl.library in your LIBS drawer Times.font in your FONTS drawer Installation:- Just unarchive to your RAM: disk (must be in RAM:) then run the Installer to install and setup.(Install_NetBar not Installer) Choose a Drawer/Partition etc to place the NetBar_5.0 drawer from the standard ASL requester and Hay Presto. Thats it. Usage:- When you first launch NetBar choose "Settings" "Paths" from the menu and setup the paths to your applications. Once done and all your paths are set just press the button for the corresponding application and thats it. You can set up your Dialup and Hangup scripts/commands as well which are accessable from the menu under "Phone". If you use Rexx scripts please make sure that RexxMast is in your WBStartup drawer or you must activate it before you run the scripts (Best put it in WBStartup). You don't have to set all the paths if you don't have enough app's and you can always add them later when you need to. The rest is pretty straightforward so I won't bore you just play about with it and see. Problems:- Voyager 1.0 does not seem to like NetBar but will work fine if you pre-launch it once before starting NetBar. I don't know why but it's the only app that does it (Aweb,AmFTP,Yam,mNews etc work fine). I hope it doesn't show too much. Writting the Manual was absolutely the worst part and I hope it shows. I wrote it in the simplest language I could, so that non-programmers can also understand it, so please excuse any perceived (but not intended) verbosity (is that the right word ?). In general, Gui4Cli is just a matter of reading in arguments given by you, the user, and passing them to the Amiga OS, which has all these commands and many more, built into it's amazing ROM. The windows, gadgets, menus and all the other stuff, the Amiga does itself, as it has been doing since before mud was invented, so get down on your knees and thank God for the fact that such a computer, made for people who love and not just use computers, still exists.
