The making of Synergy

It was a dark and stormy night...well..not really.
Redd Kaa and Sheffra meet on october 1996 as RK writes
to S. to say he likes his module .Terror he has found on
aminet.A dense correspondence starts,and they decide to
join forces to make some jungle music.RK proposes this:
one of us will do the beats and the other will arrange them.
Sheffra-respected jungle composer-carries the duty of laying
down the breaks;Redd,on the other side,will arrange them.
Lightning-fast,S.sends some 25 patterns of "clean",uneffected beats to
RK under the name "Work.med"on the beginning of november.
RK,striving to obtain his personal directory on aminet,delays
the end of the song up to december,to end in his dir.
Being not satisfied enough with the result he waits some more ,and
continues to add a bit day by day.So from one "slacked" jungle
tune the song takes a "magnum opus" allure.Finally on the late
march(!)-with the addition of some lyrics,the song ends,ready to hit
the cyberspace.

History

1.00     work.med sent by Sheffra to RK.Rk decides,under the
         influence of Goldie's "Inner City life",that the song
         will be a three-part opus.It will be named "Synergy" 

1.10     part one takes the name of "Sprawlchild" and long strings
         are added to the original sparse piano.Part two doesn't exists
         yet;part 3 is supposed to have some lyrics on it.A low drone
         dominates it

2.00     After having listened to the module "Love Hardcore!" by
         Phyton of the ravebusters,part 2 is created using two unison 
         lines of finetune-altered synth in a Pink Floyd,"On the run",
         Philip-glass way.

2.10     part 2 is perfectioned by adding the time change and the fast
         slurs.The"vynil"sample is added.The sparse piano on part 1 is
         removed

3.0      The piano run is added on part one.At this point the song could
         have been downloaded on the mods/kaa dir,but RK decides it not
         fair to Sheffra and waits.

4.0      A flute is added on part one,otherwise too static.

4.1      The piano run is perfectioned by the addition of the final scale.

4.2      part 3 has the "bass" track completely rewritten

5.0      a major improvement is done on the otherwise too short part 2;
         a fast sequence of slurs is added.General "non-Sheffra"beats
         improvement.

5.1      some more fx are added on part 2.It takes the name of "the flood"

5.2      the "go!"sample inspires a hardened part 3 .The quantity of patterns
         goes beyond 70.Major problems with speed are resolved by rewriting
         most of the song and removing the xx9xx commands.

5.21     more patterns are added to part 3.Its name changes from "sidewalk
         swing" to "World Ghetto"

6.0      Vocals are added.Some beats are improved to fit the vocals.

        
  Ended,the song includes some whopping 84 patterns,featuring jazz piano
  runs,ambient keyboards,impressionist slurs,vocals,odd-time signatures,
  unusual pattern shapes,multiple speed changes,cool fx and much more!
