 INTRODUCTION:
 ------------

 This program is for people who run offline mail readers that do not have
 a function to add taglines.

 I use it on Spot, this has such a function when you register it.. But I
 have not had the time to register it. But I MUST stress that I will as it
 is a great program.

 The trick this program uses is that it adds the tagline to the file to edit
 and then passes it onto the editor.. That way it can be used aas if it was
 the editor although I am sure it won't pass command options onto the editor.

 So to use it on CED you would have in the config file :

 EditorCommand "CED"

 if it is the command path, otherwise you would have to have the full path in
 there too!

 As far as I know it should work on ANY editor..

 To register this program will cost you NOTHING, in fact.. it's FREE!!

 Until then there are a few limitations.. I added these because if there were
 none you would just use it unreg'd!!! The limitations are :

 1. Only the default tagline set can be used
 2. Only the first 20 taglines are considered! (MAJOR LIMITATION)
 3. It will display the fact on each tagline generated.. Of course
    you could just change this but it would be so much hassle everytime!

 
 INSTALLATION:
 ------------

 To install the program just : 
 
 1. Copy the randtag file to C:
 2. Copy Randtag.cfg to S:
 3. Make a directory where your tagline files will be stored
 4. copy the file Default into it
 5. Change the line in the config file that reads :
    Default   "tags:default"
    so that it points to the right directory

 And whenever your chosen software called an editor make it call randtag
 instead.


 USAGE:
 -----

 To use randtag you can as shown above just use as a text editor.

 If you have registered with me you can make use of extra sets by adding
 an extra parameter before the filename which will be the set number to use
 I.E. :

 randtag 1 ram:test

 Would call the editor with a tagline taked from tagline set 1.

 To define extra sets you simply change the line that reads :

 DEFS = "0"

 to read the amount of sets you will have and add one line per set in the
 format :

 SETn = "<filename>"

 where n is the set number.

 There should theoretically be no limit to the amount of taglines in a file
 but the speed of accessing them may be something to consider.. In a future
 release I may add some kind of index to them which would greatly improve
 access to the taglines.

 0.92 Update!!
 -----------

 Since the rest of these docs were written I have changed a few things...
 The main thing you must know is that to speed up tag reads I have indexed
 the tagline files.. If you ever change them you simpy have to use the
 Makeidx command.. This rebuilds the indexes.

 There is now NO LIMIT to the amount of taglines and I have tested the
 makeidx program on the fidonet nodelist which is 3MB.. If you do find a
 problem then please let me know.. the only limit is filesize.. But this
 is so large you would be hard pushed to find a HD to fit it on, let alone
 the patience to wait for an index to be built!


 0.94 Update
 -----------

 Yup.. No 0.93 The changes were not enough to make a proper outgoing version
 for! 

 Only major change here is the addition of the lottery number generator
 option. Controlled by the config command lottery. To add lottery numbers to
 your tags use :

 Lottery   "YES"

 in your RandTag.cfg file!


0.96 Update
-----------

 Again no 0.95 due to few changes!

 Noteable changes for 0.96 is that Randtag will now show your name on each
 tag IE:

 Because of some echo moderators I now have added the feature to show ONLY
 the tagline and nothing more. The command is TagOnly, to use it place in
 your configuration file :

 TagOnly   "YES"

 This will over-ride the lottery setting.

 Command line usage has changed. Typing Randtag alone will give the output

Usage : RandTag [MODE=SETNUM] [(NO)LOTTERY] [(NO)ONLYTAG] Filename 

This will mean that if you used to run Randtag as :

Randtag 2 tagname 

or something similar then you will have to use :

Randtag MODE=2 tagname.

This allows you to have lotterynumbers or tag only per area if your software
supports it anyway!

I am expecting to be using this version as V1.0 soon.. I just want to make
sure it is bug free. It does seem to be (I have been using it for months)
