+------------------------+ | Guess Again! | | for Metro BBS | | by | | Mark D. Turner | +------------------------+ The following files should be included in your Guess Again! package: DOOR10 <-- the main program GUESS.DOC <-- this documentation FICTIONAL.DAT <-- text file of fictional character puzzles PERSON.DAT <-- text file of person puzzles PHRASE.DAT <-- text file of phrase puzzles PLACE.DAT <-- text file of place puzzles TITLE.DAT <-- text file of title puzzles Also, the file GUESS.SCR will be created after playing. It contains the top ten scores. P U Z Z L E F I L E S Each puzzle takes one line in the puzzle file. They should be done in all capital letters. Anything that is not a captial letter (A-Z) will be shown to the player. So, a title such as "FRIDAY THE 13th" would appear to the player as: ______ ___ 13th I N F O R M A T I O N Guess Again! was written by Mark D. Turner. I've always wondered if a shareware author asked for really low donations if he'd get anything. So, I'm calling this program Next-To-Nothing-Ware. Use if forever and ever with no strings attached. But, if you think it's slightly worthwhile (or better), then pop 25 cents or so into the mail to: Mark D. Turner P.O. Box 64 Bluefield, VA 24605 You'll never miss the money and if only 100 people send it in, I'll have $25 to encourage the development of future freebies. Go ahead, surprise me, and mail something to me (wow, a dollar would probably send me to the hospital)! I also run a part-time bbs, called The Outer Limits. Currently, it runs from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm from Monday-Friday. Frequently, it's on until 10:00 pm and weekends, too. Any problems can be reported to me there. The number is 304-327-7452. Yeah, that's right, it's a West Virginia number, even though the mailing address is in Virginia. We're right at the state line and the story isn't anything you'd care to hear. I hope you find Guess Again! of use. I'm also working on a couple of other doors, which I hope to release soon. Have fun (or whatever else turns you on)! Thanks to Percy Broadnax for creating Metro-BBS and the door routines.
