NNTPspool v1.0 - by Piergiorgio Ghezzo NNTPspool is a little ARexx script that allow you to maintain a spool for news articles. It work with NNTPpost program (see the INetUtils archive by Michael B. Smith) and a news reader (see GRn by Michael B. Smith). AmiTCP or AS225r2 package installed and running is required. INSTALLATION Copy this script in AmiTCP:Bin/ directory. Verify if the S (script) flag is set. You must modify the variables at the first lines according to your installation: 'SpoolFile' is the filename without extension for spooled articles. A progressive numeric extension is used to store the files. Full path is required. 'PostNews' Is the news article post program. I suggest NNTPpost. Full path is required. 'CopyCmd' are the CLI commands (path is suggested for more speed). and You may resident this files for more speed. 'DelCmd' Now you must modify the PostNews variable in your configuration. Set the value to "NNTPspool". If you use Tin as News reader, you must set also the variable TIN_Post with "NNTPspool %s NODELETE". Edit your logon startup (StartNet for AmiTCP) and add the line [C:Run] AmiTCP:bin/NNTPspool at the end of the file. When you connect your provider, NNTPspool try to send immediately the spooled articles.
