SecureMail will move any packets/bundles that come into your system from systems that you don't have session passwords with to an alternate directory for your inspection before any further processing will happen. REQUIREMENTS. ------------- * WB 2.04 or better * DLG Professional BBS INSTALLATION. ------------- - Copy SecureMail to Fido: or elsewhere in your Path. - If you are using DLGMail you will need to either create or Edit the Pre_Process.DMB file. You will need to have a line similar to this. Fido:SecureMail The should be the person that you want to be notified when a Packet/Bundle comes in without a Password. - Assign a Directory with the Name UNSECURE: (if you are using PDQUtilities you could have PDQHub process the offending Packet for you.) OPERATION. ---------- As stated above, the idea of this is to give you more security for your BBS. With the recent happenings in the Amiga BBS communinity with the Hacker. I thought this would be a good time to write such a program. SecureMail will move any mail that comes into your system for another system without a session password into a UNSECURE: directory, so that you can have the chance to inspect the bundle pior to it being tossed. IMPORTANT: After you have taken a look at the offending mail and you have found that it ok to process, you will need to alter the File Comment before any further processing will happen. I suggest that you execute the following script on the "Cleared" mail. === Fido:Batch/ClearedMail.batch ===== .key filename/a .bra [ .ket ] FileNote [filename] "Secure NL,PW" Rename [filename] INBOUND:[filename] =========== end of file ====== Once you have run this bachfile on the "Cleared" mail you will find them back in Inbound: where you can simply wait for another call to process them or do a DMC process.
