+====================================================================+ | | | MQ - Message Quote Utility Version 1.3 | | | | written by Andreas Krieg 1992 | | | | MQ is Freeware - Use it at your own risc | | | +====================================================================+ 1. What it is ============= MQ is a small utility to quote or print a Fidonet Message or a normal Text. 2. How to start =============== MQ V1.3 Message quoting - (C) by Andreas Krieg 1992 Usage: mq [-i] [-c] [-r(eflow)] or: mq -p(rint) -n(o seen-by) -h(ide ctrl-a lines) There are two modes for MQ. If you specify '-p' as the third argument, MQ expects a Fidonet-Message. The Message will be stored without any quoting. The other mode (without '-p' argument) is quoting a Text or a Fidonet-Message, with or without reflowing the Text. Here is a description of the Arguments: : The Fidonet-Message to quote/print. : The Name of the File MQ sends its output to. MODE 1: --------- -i: MQ quotes a normal Textfile without a Fidonet-Header. defines the quotestring, e.g. '-iAK' will store 'AK>' in the beginning of every line. If the argument -i is not given, MQ quotes a Fidonet-Message and gets the initials from the Header of the Message. -c : Defines the right border for linewrapping, default is 78. -r(eflow) : Enables text reflowing (bad to explain waht it is...). MODE 2: --------- -p(rint) : This argument selects the 'printmode'. MQ expects a Fidonet-Message. MQ will create a Textfile with a Header which contains a From, To, Subject and Date-Line followed by the original Messagetext. -n(o seen-by): MQ will not print the SEEN-BY's of the Message. -h(ide ctrl-a lines) : MQ will hide all lines beginning with a ^A character, e.g. ^APATH, ^AMSG-ID... Have Fun!
