M a s t e r - F r e e F i l e v1.0 A file attribute switcher for DLG BB/OS (c) Phillip Eastham July 1993 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ What is it? ~~~~~~~~~~~ MFF allows you to switch the attribute bit on files. This allows you to quickly and easily change files from free to ratio on an area by area basis. Why? ~~~~ Because I wanted a quick way to do the job. Having to use the sysop menu was a royal pain. How? ~~~~ MFF takes a few parameters. Run the program thus: MFF -a "area list" [-a single area] [FREE] [RATIO] [QUIET] [-?] [?] Where: -a "area list" - Specify an area list. -a single area - Specify 1 area. FREE - Make all files in area free. RATIO - Make all files in area ratio. QUIET - Turn off all but error output. -? and ? - A short usage display. (Case and order NOT important) If neither FREE or RATIO are given, a toggle effect occurs. Those files which were free become ratio and vice-versa. If no parameters are given, the usage display will be given. Area list formats: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The area list format conforms to most DLG area list formatting. Eg: -a "2 5 10" will work on areas 2, 5, and 10. -a "2 4 6-10" will work on areas 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10. you may specify over empty areas, eg "2-10" even if area 5 doesn't exist. Program status: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ MFF is freeware. Use it as you please.
