There was some information that I thought was lacking as well as some information that I thought was unnecessary to the general goal of the file. If youre wondering about the language in this doc, maybe it could be a bit "Bavarian-English" in it ! MAKE SURE TO READ THE NOTES ! ===== -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ============= Installation: ============= What is What and What is Where ? --------------------------------- In the archiv should be: L10CProg.rexx 2607 (The Callers process file ONLY for logoff) L10CList.rexx 1727 (The Callers list file for Pfiles) L10CShow.rexx 3504 (The Callers show file ONLY for logon) L10C2.0.doc 4563 (The doc. you read now) log.L10COn 6 (This contains some datas for the process file) log.L10log 155 (This contains the log of callers) Copy the files: L10CProg.rexx to PFiles: L10CShow.rexx to PFiles: L10CList.rexx to PFiles: log.L10COn to Sysdata: log.L10C to Sysdata: Setting up: ----------- After you have copied the files to the appropriate directories, there are three more things you will need to do: Add this line to the first line of your "sys.welcome" file located in the SYSTEXT: directory: \#0Pfiles:L10CShow.rexx\ Load your "bbstext" file, which should be in your CNET: directory into your Cygnus Ed(tm). Find the line that says: @ Logoff Complete\n1 After the "\n1", add the following additional stuff: \#0Pfiles:L10CProg.rexx\ With the L10CList.rexx file you can do the follow : You can add it as an Arexx file into your PFiles list, or you can add it into your "bbsmenu", which should be in your CNET: directory as follow: Find the line that says: 3; Main prompt and add this to the end of the block : (after the line which say NS in Cnet V2.30) CA |\#0pfiles:L10CList.rexx\ NOTE: ===== If you add the L10CList.rexx to your Gfiles, and a anyone started it, CNet will log this activity as a PFILES activity and L10C will log it as a PFILES activitie, too, becoz L10CList.rexx is an AREXX programm and so its a PFILE ! If its important for you to have the listfile in the Gfiles, adopt it there, but dont wonder if you get a -P- flag insteat a -G- flag for a GFiles activity ! Sorry, but this may happen with all AREXX/C-Pfiles youre starting from the GFiles prompt ! The files log.L10COn and log.L10C are datafiles and dont have to be installed ! Just copy it to the required dirs. Installation finished ! ----------------------- NOTE: After any change in "bbstext" or "bbsmenu" you have to reboot ===== your machine or you have to restart CNet ! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ============= How it works: ============= L10C keeps log of : The users handle The users city or location The users connection speed The users activities The users total calls (later more infos) The users login and logoff time Now load the file L10CShow.rexx into Cygnus Ed and look at the `Sysop definealbe variables` ! Congratulations and Winning Credits means that the user can win Credits at a, from the sysop defineable call number ( all values are definealbe !) WINCALL = 1 means that the Congratulations and the extra winning credits are switched on. WINCALL = 0 means that all congratulations and credits winnings are totaly switched off ! if you like that, you dont have to read the other stuff about it! Example: A user logging on and its his 10th call. Before he see the Last 10 Callers, he get the congratulations and win a credit of 10K. After that, the user gets the last 10 callers list. A user logging on and its his 100th call. Before he see the Last 10 Callers he get the congratulations and win a credit of 100K. After that, the user gets the last 10 callers list. aso........... At how many calls the user should get a congratulation is stored in the X.# variables. X.1 = 10 means the congratulation comes at an users 10th call. X.2 = 664 means the user get the congratulation on the users 664th call... aso....................................... How many bytes the user is winning is the variable for the call,too. That means that if you give one of the X.# variable a value of 432, the user gets 432KB on his 432th call. kewl, huh ? NOTE: 432 is only an example, you can write in what you want ! ===== If the variable Y is the multiplicator. if Y is set to 1000, the credits would be the same as the call * 1000 in bytes ! Example: If Y is set to 1000 - user call # 100 -> user won 100000 Bytes( 100KB ) If Y is set to 10000 - user call # 100 -> user won 1000000 Bytes( 1 MEG ) If Y is set to 250 - user call # 50 -> user won 12500 Bytes( 12,5 KB ) ___________________________________ | | | CREDITS = CALL * Y ! | | = 50 * 250 = 12500 bytes | |___________________________________| NOTE: this all above only if WINCALL is set to 1 ! ===== Now load the file L10CProg.rexx into Cygnus Ed, and look at the SYSOP variable : SYSOP = 0 - L10C never add the SYSOP or any caller on PORT 0 with access 23 ! SYSOP = 1 - If youre a sysop (access 23) on port 0 (local) and you are logging off from this port, L10C will ask you follow: Add yourself to the callers list ? Press return if you dont want to be in the list! Press Y if you want to be in the list ! Simple, huh ? Sysop = 2 - L10C always add the SYSOP or any caller on PORT 0 with access 23 ! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ============ Other Stuff: ============ NOTE : The file L10CProg.rexx ONLY works in the LOGOFF sequence ! ====== Starting it from a Gfiles/Pfiles list may cause an ERROR ! NOTE : The file L10CShow.rexx ONLY works in the LOGON sequence ! ====== Starting it from a Gfiles/Pfiles list may cause the reset of the LOGON time ! To see the CALLERSLIST use the L10CList.rexx programm in your Pfiles or as an Command added in BBSMENU ! The handle/username of any new user (accessgroup 1) will be listed RED in the callers list.
