Installing InterChess v5.6 * indicates check for changes here
---------------------
* You need to run the game converting (ICHESScnvrt) program on all old
    games that where started prior to version 4.2.

1. Create a directory titled "interchess" in your doors directory.

2. Assign DOORS: to your doors directory (Which you may already have done
    for some other door programs!), i.e. ASSIGN DOORS: DH0:BBS/DOORS

3. Copy the following files into the interchess directory:
*   chess
*   chess.gr1
*   chess.txt
*   chhelp
*   chess.cfg
    mailseed

4.* Edit "chess.cfg" to be the message base number of your system's E-Mail
    message base.  For example:

    Line 1,
            If the message base that you want to use to store the 'Next Turn"
    messages in is your E-Mail message base and its number is for instance "4"
    the you would put in the config file's first line 4 E-Mail, left
    justified on that first line with a space between the number and the name
    and use underline spaces between base name parts if more than one word.
--
    You may even wish to create a message base for chess talk and challenges!
    IF YOU DO THIS you may want to change the first number in the chess.cfg
    to reflect this message base number and name. ie. 3 Chess_moves
--
    Line 2,
            Should have either a 0 if you do NOT have a compatible Robowriter
    or a 1 if you DO have a compatible Robowriter. Be aware that this means
    having RoboSN and not Robo from the old Paragon days..
    P.S.  remember to have a robo.dat file.
    OR....
	Make it a 2 if you want to take advantage of the Built in Robot-Msg
    feature.

    Line 3,
            Should be either a 0 if you are running Starnet without Handles
				 activated
                   or a 1 if you are running Starnet WITH handles
 				 turned on.
    Aside note.. Handles turned on in Starnet works real good, we have never
                 had any kind of a problem for over a year now. We highly
                 recommend that you at least try it.
  * Line 4,
            This is the access level that you are going to allow Sysop
    abilities to in the chess door.

5. Edit your Doors.Dat file to include this program. The name of the
    executable file is "chess" (Consult your Paragon docs for further
    instructions on how to accomplish this for either Paragon or Starnet).

    Interchess can also now be run using the MultiRunDoors menu command.
    ie. '!' is an example only..
		Option '!':
			Function MultiRunDoor Doors:InterChess/Chess
			end

6. Interchess offers the option of using David Lebel's RoboWriter to
    notify players their turns are up. Interchess expects the executable
    'RoboSN' in your 'C:' directory. The proper RoboSN has a length of 54452.
    You must have the Robo.dat in your Starnet dir.
    IF RoboSN is used be sure that you have NULL: mounted in your
    startup-sequence. You may have to load StarBase using RunBack on some
    systems due to cli window attachments etc. The Runback that works the best
    from 1.3 through 2.04 is the one that has a length of 6768.

7. Notify your users of the availability of an inter-user chess game in
    Doors! And of the Line to Line continious play ability.

-- You need not increase your stack above the standard 60000, or otherwise
    alter your system setup in any way.
