Steve's AGA Icon Utils 1.1 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Included Files : * Steve Icons - various sample 128 color icons. * palette.AGA - palette for the 128 color icons. - this palette had Magic Icons in mind. Magic icons will view properly with this palette. * Sload - program to load new palettes. Unregistered version has nasty Delay Requester. Registered version will allow a lock on the palette. * Ssave - program to save current palette. Unregistered version save option is disabled. *reqtools.library - copy this to your libs: directory. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I wrote this program to allow me to use 8 to 256 color icons. A problem with using more than 8 color icons is that the Commodore's palette program will only allow the last 8 colors be saved, thus any icon greater than 8 colors will not appear correctly. I have tried using procure Pens, but I had two problems with this. One problem is that the config file is large and that you have to specifically define the RGB values for each color manually. Good luck in typing in 384 values. I thought that SCR AGA palette requester had potential, but I could not get the program to load a saved file without giving me the palette requester. So I wrote Sload, Ssave to deal with this problems. * SSAVE : Ssave will save the current palette in your S: directory to use with Sload. Press the OK button to save the current palette. Press Cancel to Cancel save operation. * SLOAD : Sload will load the palette defined in a file located in S: directory. * PALETTE.AGA : This file defines a color palette and must be located in S: directory. * Steve's Icons : This is various 128 color Icons. The palette file , palette.aga, is the palette for these icons. Copy this file to you S: directory and execute Sload program. This program can be run from shell. Note: These Icons are Tool Type Icons with the exception of the 6 drawer icons. Some of these Icons may not be loaded with commodore Icon editor or work with the system information program due to size of icons. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ How to Register : You may register 3 ways : A: donate $2.00 US US dollars either by US Money order, US Cash, or International money order. C: donate $10.00 US dollars either by US Money order, US Cash, or International money order. Instead of the $10.00 you may send 25 GOOD 3.5" disks.
