Presenter may be freely distributed as long as all documentation and executable remain unchanged and are included with the distribution. Commercial distribution is not allowed without written permission from The Burning Stickmen. Description ~~~~~~~~~~~ Presenter is an experiment in presentation software. It was initially created in order to explore the capabilities of the OpalVision hardware. So far, I've just touched the surface. Look for some great effects and transitions in the next few versions. However, because this is just a pet project at the moment, I have no real urge to put together any extensive documentation. Most of the features are pretty easy to get the hang of, even without explanation. If you can't figure something out, you can leave me E-Mail on either the OpalTech support BBS or on The Cloning Machine BBS (number at the end of this .doc file). Any such E-Mail should be addressed to The Burning Stickmen. For a quick demonstration of some of the effects and how to use the Colour Blend background, load up the Background.proj presentation and go through it. I'm sure that you'll be surprised.... Requirements ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Presenter will run on any Amiga with v2.04+ of AmigaDOS and an OpalVision card. Since Presenter only works in lores at the moment, RAM requirements are minimal. I would guess that at least 512K of chip is necessary, as well as another meg or two of fast ram. Things to Keep in Mind ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - FX default to doing nothing. In order to get something done, you'll have to choose something from the FX list, and place it in the red, green or blue FX slot, and modify the data accordingly. - the posterize effect will only look good when used directly from a normal image. If the image has been modified in any way by an effect, you will see a jump back to the normal image as the posterization occurs. Problems/Bugs ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - Some transitions do not preview properly, notable all that use the CoPro (scroll up, scroll down, expand, etc.) - Up and Down gadgets in the Event Scheduler are not implemented yet - preview for effects is not implemented yet - posterize effect should not have a linear speed To Be Implemented ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - the ability to manipulate the order of events - pre-loading of images, as well as pre-calculation of backgrounds - some sort of stopping mechanism in the playback of presentations - having the length of FX and transitions actually mean something - loading of GIF's - centering of images on the display - support for multi-resolutions, not just lores-nolace - previewing of effects - being able to view a background and modify the colours at the same time - extended timing and scripting support Support ~~~~~~~ If you encounter any problems with Presenter, please let us know! Our support BBS is The Cloning Machine BBS (519) 749-2691. To report a problem, just leave E-Mail to "The Burning Stickmen". Please include the program name and version, as well as a report of the problem, and how to reproduce it. A listing of your system configuration would also be helpful, as well as any other software that you run in the background with the program (Commodities, etc.). New updates will also be available on The Cloning Machine, along with the complete selection of Burning Stickmen software. The Cloning Machine is run on a dual standard, and is 14.4K HST, and 9600 v.32, has 330 megs of hard drive, and a CD-ROM drive is also on-line. Call today!
