Part I The guys are at the natural history museum at the La Brea tar pits. Jeremy is doing some research on dinosaurs. Morton Fizzback, the rock promoter, is there too, trying to buy a dinosaur model for Rockasaurus, his latest show. Outside the museum, they meet up with Nick, the school bully, and his gang, but they manage to outsmart him. Running into an empty lot, they find a huge tar egg, which cracks, revealing a timid dinosaur who becomes their newest friend. Shades names the dinosaur Denver after a sign on a tour bus. They then bring Denver back to Wally's home. Soon Heather comes home and gets a big shock at the sight of Denver. She suggests that they house Denver temporarily in the old school gymnasium. The next day, Morton Fizzback hires Nick and his gang to distract the guys, so that his henchmen can capture Denver. 2) The Blast From The Past! Part II Fizzback captures Denver and makes him perform in a rock and roll concert. Then, he sells Denver to Dr. Funt, who wants to do some experiments on Denver (labelled Funtasaurus by Funt). Fortunately, Prof. Chin and Joy release Denver from the cage. Returning to L.A., Denver spots the guys in the park, and overhears them saying that they wished they had never found a dinosaur. They are just trying to forget about Denver and get on with their summer vacation, but Denver thinks they don't want him anymore. 3) In The Chips The guys try to get Denver to eat some vegetables, supposedly a diet appropriate for a herbivorous dinosaur, without success. Hearing about the big potato chip spill at the supermarket, Denver follows Jeremy to work and gobbles up all the potato chips, resulting in indigestion. Meanwhile, KC feels left out because the guys have been keeping Denver to themselves all this while. So, she and Rocky, Wally's puppy, go to the La Brea tar pits to search for another dinosaur. After digging around for some time, without success, she rests in the remainder of the tar egg, and it sends her back in time, where she befriends four Triceratops pups. 4) Videoohhh! Wally borrows his sister's video camera to shoot a video. But each of the guys has his own idea on what sort of video to shoot, and in the end, they can't agree on what to shoot. Denver runs off into the city pointing the camera everywhere, and, wonder of wonders, lands a job distributing flyers outside a party supplies shop. He places the video camera on the back of a truck, while he goes about doing the job. Unfortunately, the truck is towed away by two men in a tow-truck. Pursuing the tow-truck, he ends up at a garage where a ring of car thieves are busy converting stolen cars and trucks into fancy vehicles to be sold to Hollywood movie studios as props. 5) The Monster of Lost Lake The guys, Heather, and Chet (Heather's boyfriend) go on a camping trip to Lost Lake. The guys bring Denver too, without Chet's knowledge. Unfortunately, while Denver is snoozing on a rubber raft, he floats to the far side of the lake where his picture is taken by Morton Fizzback, the tour guide. Fizzback then calls the media for publicity, and goes after Denver in the ranger's mobile animal cage. Meanwhile, Denver runs into two lost bear cubs, and tries to help them find their mother. 6) Denver Makes The Grade Jeremy, Shades, Mario, and Wally do a science fair project about dinosaurs. When their dinosaur model is ruined by Nick, the school bully, the guys persuade Denver to fill the spot. But Shades and Wally have conscience attacks at the last moment. Meanwhile, Nick, Scott, and Rod have their own science project, a communications satellite stolen from Nick's dad's company. 7) Big Top Denver Baxter's Big Top Circus is in town, and losing money because Baxter refuses to let his circus performers try out new acts. After failing to convince his father to allow him to perform a bicycle stunt, Kip runs away from the circus. Looking for a job, he chances upon KC's father's garage, and meets KC, the guys, and Denver. While doing bicycle and skateboard stunts, they hit upon the idea of putting up a new act involving Denver, with themselves as the lead-ins. Unfortunately, on that day, Denver's guitar is broken in an accident. 8) The Misunderstanding Due to a misunderstanding, Wally thinks his family is moving to New York. He tries to find a new home for Denver, and enters a dream sequence in which he and Denver travel back in time. 9) (?) Wally gets a part-time job at Dr. D's zoo. Unfortunately, Dr. Funt buys over the zoo, and turns it into a high-tech nightmare to impress and hopefully sell it off to a rich investor. Then one day, when Denver is riding the train, Dr. Funt sees his chance, and uses his remote control to drive the train straight into a cage. 10) Jeremy for Class President Jeremy Anderson is running for class president. The guys and Denver help him campaign. Nick, the school bully, after having visions of glory and power, decides to enter the election too. Even worse, Scott, the prankster, spots Denver while spying on Jeremy's campaign preparations, and decides to use the dinosaur as a publicity stunt to win the election. He even convinces Donna Daring, the newscaster, to hold a press conference right in the school, where he will expose Denver to the public. 11) Broncosaurus Jeremy and the guys are invited by Jeremy's uncle, Eli Johnson, to visit his ranch in Nevada. Denver comes along in a large crate. There they have lots of fun riding horses, and doing chores around the farmyard. But they also discover that Morton Fizzback is about to take over a wild horse sanctuary unless Eli wins the rodeo and buys the sanctuary back with the prize money. Unfortunately, Fizzback also has a contender in the rodeo, an underhanded cheater. Things get worse when Fizzback's rodeoman captures Denver, and Fizzback starts getting ideas about putting on a country roadshow featuring Denver the "Broncosaurus". 12) Denver Dino-Star KC's cousin, Lana Lake, comes a-visiting. Well, actually she's here to star in a new movie, Leaping Lizards Are Loose, set at the local mall. She's also here to see Denver, whom KC had told her so much about. She brings Denver, KC, and the guys along to watch the shooting of the movie. However, the director takes an instant liking to Denver, and decides to cast him as the hero of the movie. Unfortunately, when all is done, some security guards get the idea that Denver is a movie prop, and refuse to allow the guys to take him out of the mall. Everyone gets really worried. Ironically, Denver has a great time after hours at the mall. He plays with the robots, the appliances, and even grabs a guitar and shades and parties all night. The next morning, just when the guys find Denver and are about to take him back home, the security guards discover him too and attempt to capture him. 13) Dino-land! Heather works as an attendant at the Dino-land amusement park. Denver tags along and is mistaken for one of the dinosaur-suited attendants. But the boss and the supervisor get angry with him as he gives away free rides and balloons. Then when he rescues a group of children from a stalled roller-coaster, and gets the attention of the media, Heather has to do some quick thinking to keep them from finding out about Denver's true identity. 14) Winning! Heather lands a position as a Vanna White-esque game show assistant on Let's Make A Squeal with Biff Boffomeister as the host. (This game show features various physical challenges, and the audience comes in costume. Biff wears a toupee and uses tape to hold his face up in a grotesque smile.) So naturally, Denver, the guys, and KC tag along as the studio audience. Miracle of miracles, Denver and Jeremy are chosen as contestants, but unfortunately, Fizzback and Dr. Alan Funt are their opponents. Denver wants to win to get a year's supply of Spud potato chips, while Fizzback wants the large plot of land behind the holiday cabin that is full of valuable Christmas trees. Halfway, through the game, Jeremy discovers that Dr. Funt is cheating with a radio receiver in his hat, and decides to turn the tables on the crooked twosome. 15) 16) Radio Denver! Wally works at Hit Radio, where Rockman, a middle-aged portly DJ, spins out the latest tunes. Hit Radio is facing sagging ratings and stiff competition from Loud Radio, just across the street. One day, Wally forgets his brown bag lunch, so Denver goes off in search of him. There, Denver chances upon the headset and mike, and becomes an impromptu DJ. Fun! Hit Radio's rating gets an immediate boost because of Rockman's "Mystery Guest," and indeed, it becomes the most popular station, leading Rockman to suggest that he and Denver do a show together. Jealous, and eager to get to the top again, the DJ of Loud Radio challenges Rockman to a DJ contest. The only problem is Denver can't show himself in public, and what's worse, the Loud Radio DJ's assistant has obtained a ribs-like contraption to capture Denver. 17) Phantom of the Movie Theater The show starts with a dark, stormy scene. Wally's father needs the poolhouse to accommodate some friends that he has invited over, so Wally has to find a temporary home for Denver. Heather suggests that Denver stay in the old movie theater, that used to be a drama theater, and where her boyfriend, Chet, works as an usher. The guys are scared, though, because rumor has it that there is a ghost in the theater. Enroute to the theater, a strange incident happens in which a man in a van backs up over the mailbox outside a spooky, old house. The next day, the guys find that the occupant of that house, Mr. McNally had complained to Wally's parents, and so, they have to go and apologize. They never did have the nerve to stay at the house long enough to speak to Mr. McNally, but they did see a marvelous treehouse, built by Mr. McNally's grandfather. Meanwhile, at the theater, Denver meets Mr. McNally, an actor forced to retire because of the rising popularity of "talkies" and the resulting conversion of that drama theater to a movie theater. They cavort around in various costumes, striking various dramatic poses and having lots of fun. Unfortunately, while doing a Roman Centurion scene, Mr. McNally falls through a loose trapdoor, and can't get back up because of his armor. Denver tries to get help, but scares the entire audience out of the theater instead. 18) Missing Links Freddy invents Freddyvision, a machine for viewing the past divined from a sample item from that era. Morton Fizzback, however, brings Freddy Denver's egg shell, which he had stolen, to view the prehistoric era. Denver and the guys soon come busting into Freddy's garage in search of the egg shell, but Freddy, mistaking their intentions, takes the guys captive with his robot mannequins. Then while Denver and Fizzback struggle for the egg, they are accidentally zapped back to the stone age by Freddy's machine. They materialize right in the middle of a game of mammoth ball. Quick on the uptake, Denver jumps onto a mammoth and scores the winning goal for the green team. Denver and Fizzback are treated like heroes by the green team and are asked to become their coaches for the finals. Fizzback refuses and goes off in search of the reigning champions, the blue team. Under Denver's guidance, the green team wins the tournament, and Fizzback is suddenly threatened with a fate worse than death. Meanwhile, Freddy, KC and the guys work feverishly to fix the time machine and bring Denver and Fizzback back to the present. 19) Dog Gone Denver! Wally enters his puppy, Rocky, in the relay race at the County Dog Show. Denver goes too, disguised as a dog, to cheer Rocky on. There, he is mistaken for a rare breed. Prof. Funt, who is also there showing off his rare breed of dog, spots Denver and pursues Denver in the hopes of capturing and studying this 'rare breed' in order to gain recognition and fame in the scientific circles. 20) Party Time! Mario breaks Heather's Walkman during an amateur magic performance. Fortunately, during the last moments of the radio's working life, it splutters out an advertisement by Party Time Entertainment seeking child-entertainers. So, he and Denver go there to look for jobs and are immediately assigned to perform at a birthday party. Douggie, the magical clown, meanwhile, is a disgruntled employee of Party Time who doesn't believe in magic anymore. When he hears that Mario and Denver were given his job because of their enthusiasm, he sets out to ruin their performance, but in the end, Denver shows him some magic of his own. 21) Aunt Shadie's Ghost Town Resort The guys and Heather travel to the country on Shades' word of a fantastic resort run by his aunt. Denver tags along, hiding out in the back of the motorhome. Once there, they are disappointed to find only a rundown ghost town. However, evil plans abound as Smilin' Jack and his two henchman plot to steal the Aunt Shadie's deed in order to get the rights to the gold in the abandoned mine nearby. However, Denver overhears them and snatches the deed from their hands, running off deep into the mines. There, he finds Jeremiah Jones, a coal miner, who thinks Denver is the Guardian of the mines. Apparently, J.J. owns everything below Aunt Shadie's resort, as stated in the fine print of the deed. The guys enter the mines too, searching for Denver, and thus ensues a frantic wagon chase through the mines as Smilin' Jack and his henchmen, and Denver, J.J. and the guys, vie for the deed. 22) Moviestarus! Denver falls in love with a robot dinosaur, follows "her" on the back of a truck into Big Deal Studios, and winds up in a dinosaur show. Meanwhile, KC and the guys enter the studios dressed as a tropical island tour group in an attempt to find and rescue Denver. They and Denver, in turn, are pursued by the house detective. 23) Denver At Sea Denver and the guys visit Dr. D, who now works at the Ocean Park marine research center. They are introduced to Noah, a dolphin trained in search and rescue missions. Unfortunately, Bertha Bird and her two sons kidnap Noah to search for a sunken treasure ship. Denver searches for Noah, and has a close run-in with a shark. 24) Ski Denver! Heather and the guys visit Mr. McNally's ski lodge for the weekend. Jeremy, Wally, Heather, and Denver take ski lessons from Gwen, the resident ski instructor. Denver gets the scare of his life and resolves never to ski again when Rust, the owner of the rival ski lodge, goes hot-dogging down the beginner's slope, and nearly sends him over a cliff. However, when he gets the nanapoki, a lucky charm, from the wilderness store, he regains confidence, becomes an expert skier, and enters the Lost Mountain Down Way Competition, competing against Rust. But what happens when his lucky charm is destroyed in an accident? Meanwhile, Shades and Mario have little success assembling the Super Sled. 25) Beach Blanket Dino! Mario and Rad Tad both fall in love with Windy, the new girl in town, with disastrous consequences. KC and the guys find the last remaining secluded cove on the beach only to have it taken over by Rad Tad and his gang. So, Mario and Rad Tad have a Surf Off to decide who keeps the cove. Meanwhile, Denver, ever the animal-lover, tries to save two chipmunks and a sea gull with a nest and two eggs, who inhabit the abandoned lifeguard tower, which is about to become Rad Tad's clubhouse. Denver also has to contend with Bud, who pursues him incessantly, thinking he is a sea creature. 26) History Repeats Itself The new kid at school, Johnny Price, plays practical jokes on Wally and gets him into trouble. Meanwhile, a stray kitten that Wally found picks on Rocky, Wally's puppy. To make Wally feel better, Denver, using his egg shell, tells Wally about the time when a pteranodon picked on him. Denver and the pteranodon became the best of friends after they worked together to defeat a marauding Tyrannosaurus Rex. Later, Nick, the school bully, starts trashing Johnny's father's Joke Shop, and Wally comes to the rescue. 27) Battle Of The Bands Heather, KC, Denver, and the guys want to enter the City Wide Talent Contest as a prehistoric rock band (The Stone Age Dino Rockers?). When Wally's guitar is fried in a power surge, they take it to Freddy Facknitts' garage to be repaired. There they find Freddy in a state of depression because he discovered that he is a nerd. Denver offers to cheer Freddy up. Freddy is inspired and wants to become a popular guy. So he invents the Robo Rockers, a robot rock band, and goes out shopping for cool clothes at the mall. Unfortunately, Morton Fizzback and Dr. Funt steal the Robo Rockers to enter the talent contest. 28) The Comic Book Caper Denver feels bored, so the guys take him to a comic book convention. Each of them goes dressed as their favorite superhero. There, they meet Freddy, dressed as Fishman, meet Morton Fizzback, who is going all out to promote his comic books, and see Gary Garshnell's exhibit, the world's first comic book. Unfortunately, the world's first comic book is stolen all of a sudden. Denver, Freddy, and the guys offer to help find the comic book. Fizzback does too when he hears of the $10000 reward. 29) Carnival! Denver, KC, Heather, and the guys are preparing for the school carnival. Denver is practicing his magic act. KC and Wally are collecting prizes for the charity raffle. And Mario and Shades are going on a starvation diet to ready themselves for the pie-eating contest. However, while KC is asking around for raffle donations, she meets Bertha Bird's two sons. Biff accidentally donates a Kenyatan sceptre, the only valuable item in the sunken treasure that Bertha Bird found. When Bertha finds out, she gets very angry and vows to retrieve the sceptre, even if it means buying every single raffle ticket. Meanwhile, the Birds themselves are being followed by a mysterious stranger in a trenchcoat. 30) Pen Pal Wally's pen pal from Sweden, Inga Svinga, comes visiting to California. The only problem is, in his letters, Wally portrayed himself as Shades, and even sent her a picture of Shades. He did that because he didn't think of himself as an interesting person. So when Inga arrives, she immediately goes along with Shades. Wally, feeling miserable, tries desperately to get Inga's attention by performing stunts, and "rescuing" her from Denver, but falls flat on his face every time. Sooner or later, the truth must come out. 31) The Chinatown Caper Denver sees a news report on the kidnapping of Joy Chin's dog, Kumquat, and decides to do some detective work. He sneaks aboard a delivery van to Chinatown. There he meets Joy, and Prof. Chin, who gives him a Lion costume as a disguise. On witnessing the kidnapping of yet another dog, Denver chases the kidnappers, Octavia and Waldo, but they get away. Meanwhile, the guys come to Chinatown, looking for Denver. They meet Denver, Prof. Chin, and Joy, and come up with a plan to lure the kidnappers by dressing Denver up as an exotic dog. 32) Denver and the Cornstalk It's a rainy day, and Denver feels bored. So, KC reads him a fairy tale Jack And The Beanstalk. And so everyone is magically transmogrified into fairy tale characters. Denver and the guys become five farmers. One day, Denver decides to buy some seeds, and on the way to the market, he bumps into Morton Fizzback, who sells gullible Denver a bag of magic corn kernels. Denver promptly returns and plants the seeds. In the middle of the night, a giant cornstalk grows up into the sky. Denver climbs the cornstalk and finds himself in a land on the clouds, wherein lies a giant castle filled with treasure, and therein, an enchanted golden harp (Heather) is held captive. However, Denver has to make a hasty retreat when the giant (Bertha Bird) returns to the castle. He tells the guys all about the castle. Fizzback overhears and becomes greedy. And so Denver and the guys, followed by the treasure crazy Fizzback, climb the cornstalk to rescue the harp. Unfortunately, because of Fizzback's uncontrolled outbursts, the giant captures him and the guys, and it is up to Denver to rescue them all. 33) Tee Time For Denver Shades and Jeremy enter the city golf tournament. KC is supposed to stay at home, and dinosit Denver, but she brings him along anyway. But over at the golf course, they bump into the tournament organizer, and somehow, Denver gets entered into the tournament. Denver is surprisingly good at golf but finds himself going neck-and-neck with Morton Fizzback, who cheats using Professor Funt's remote-controlled golf balls because he wants to win and promote his line of golf fashion. Meanwhile, Scotty, the golf course owner, spots Denver and, thinking that Denver is the Loch Ness monster, vows to catch him. 34) Birthday Party From Outer Space Freddy analyzes Denver's egg shell and finds out that he is nearly 65 million years old, and his birthday is the very next day. So that the guys can prepare for Denver's surprise party, KC takes Denver out to Freddy's garage, where Denver becomes fascinated by Freddy's hovercraft. So, KC, Freddy, and Denver take the still untested hovercraft out for a spin. Not surprisingly, it is a rough ride, and as they swoop and barrel through the air, people spot them and think that they are aliens from outer space. The National U.F.O. Patrol is swamped with reports of aliens, and who else do they send out to investigate but Dr. Bartholomew Funt, their newest employee. 35) Food Wars! Shades gets a summer job at Larry's Pizza Palace, and Mario gets a job right across the street at Myron's Tacos. Larry and Myron are brothers but rivals. Larry believes in hand-made pizzas, but Myron believes in automation. So while KC, Jeremy and Wally are out visiting Shades and Mario at their new jobs, Denver, feeling hungry, sneaks off to Myron's and Larry's but ends up ruining the Myron's taco machine, and Larry's drive-thru, by accident. Myron and Larry blame each other for sabotage, and a food war erupts.
