So she is desperatly seeking a replacement. None of the persons showing up on an ad in the paper seems even remotely acceptable to her, so she takes the offer of some guy who shows up at her doorstep - Billy. He moves in, but hasn't the money, his check bounces. Billy takes a job as dancing teacher, without having the qualification. Then he quits for a job as taxi driver. Alison gets a job as receptionist in an advertising company - of course what she really wants is making ads herself. Jake can't get rid of a cute 16 years old. They go out, but get disturbed by her sorrowed friends. Even after he dumps her, she comes back. 1.02 Friends and lovers (07/15/92) Billy picks up a chick in his cab and she pratically moves in with him. Their relationship gets really close really fast and that frightens Billy, while Alison is jealous, so he gives her the boot. Jake is still hunted by the Beverly Hills Princess, Kelly o' name, and even bailed out when he gets busted for a macho stunt at unemployee's office. She learns that he had a 'colorful' live, including many prior arrests but still goes after him. 1.03 Lost & Found (07/22/92) Michael and Jane experience a little crisis when he can't remember the first moment he knew he loved her. Then he comes up with a sufficent story and they cuddle again. Jane feels lonely when her husband Michael has no time for her and comes later home every evening. So she is persuaded by Rhonda to go out. They meet two appealing guys, dance and almost bundle, but then Jane remembers her husband, but now misses her wedding ring. She sweeps all over the dancing floor to find it, but only Sandy comes up with it when Jane almost had telled Michael about her sin. Billy finishes his first script and gives it Alison to read. She thinks it's awful and says so. Billy is pissed, but finally gets to see her point and burns the script. Jake sets up a scene with an actress friend of Sandy and makes him look very ugly so that Kelly finally leaves him. 1.04 For Love or Money (07/29/92) Alison has a great idea for a sunscreen campaign, but tells it a co-worker who steals the idea. Fist she wants to quit, but then she takes a second chance from her chief and develops appealing campaigns, while the other looks dumb. Jake takes a job in a Cappucino Shop, but can't stand the working conditions. He meets a long-gone ex-girlfriend, who wants to persuade him to make a semi-legal deal with LA-guns (who have an appearance in the show) in selling them a painting, which Jake shall paint, as modern art. First he goes for it, but then he sees her snuffing cocaine and quits. Rhonda shall help Matt in cooking a great menu at his work. She cancels at last minute and he is pissed, but at the end he forgives her and shows up at one of her cardio funk lessons. 1.05 Leap of Faith (08/05/92) Jane finds herself pregnant but does't tell Michael since he doesn't want children so early. She almost gets an abortion but decides not to in last minute and finally tells Michael, who is pissed she didn't inform him right from the beginning. Billy takes a job as column writer at a paper and finds that he has nothing to write about. He decides that Bungee Jumping will give him the kick and gets Jake and Matt to go with him but finally he wimps out. He writes about this experience anyway. 1.06 Second Chances (08/12/92) Alison helps Jake getting his G.E.D late at night, cause he his embarrassed. They come close and even kiss, some speculation between Billy and the others on how close, but in the end nothing serious happens and Jake gets his paper. Rhonda meets an old dancing girlfriend, who won an audition she trained for too, but broke a leg and couldn't go. Shows out Rhonda faked the injury cause she was afraid to fail. Now she auditions for a vacant position in the very same show and would probably get it, but decides to stay with her cardio funk. 1.07 My Way (08/19/92) Billy is set under pressure from his dad, who wants him to sell furniture in his store. He tells him, Alison would be more than a friend and a literary agent and thereby gets one year to try out. That becomes a little complicated, when they have to visit the father at his birthday. Sandy finally gets a role and pleases the director after just some beginning problems. She gets bitchy and on the nerves of everyone besides Jake, who is of course understanding, since he is hot for her. 1.08 Lonely hearts (09/02/92) Sandy meets a nice looking guy while shooping and has a date with him. Turns out he is boring and she wants to dump him. But he does the Fatal Attraction thing, calls her, breaks into her appartment etc. Finally Jake bumps him, gets arrested. Sandy shows up at his work and blames him just in front of his chief, so he sees it and drops the denounce. Alison has problems with her old car. She wants to buy a new one, but has some trouble selling the old, especially with her own feelings towards it, last but not least she murmurs something about having been deflowered in it. 1.09 Responsibly Yours (09/09/92) Billy meets a cute comedy actress and decides to support her with Alisons money when her car breaks down and she needs to go to have a performance. Turns out she has a 8 years old son. Billy gets into the father role and gets a little bit overprotective when the real father shows up, so he gets the boot - and has to deal with Alisons anger. Jake persuades Sandy to give their relationship another try and goes out with her, just to demonstrate that sex isn't all to him. Ends with him lying on top of her and him getting the boot again. 1.10 Burned (09/16/92) Billy drives his taxi late night to down town LA and gets attacked by some black youth. Police seems not very interested, what makes him investigate by himself. He finds them and has them busted. Now some racist comments of him make Rhonda angry and she has to teach him some lessons about black people in America. Jake has birthday and gets visited by his long lost mother. He is very annoyed and kicks her out, but makes up with her at the bus station, right before she leaves. Jane and Michael visit a boring Lamaze class. He breaks a puppet what frightens Jane. 1.11 A Promise Broken (09/30/92) Jane's baby is checked via ultrasound and it turns out that it has no heartbeat (appearantly it's dead) and she has to get an abortion. Both parents are deeply depressed. Sandy wants to cheer up Jane with a little dog which she looses on her first walk out on the beach, what makes Michael blaming her even more. Later they find it again, but pass it on to the person who found him. Billy makes the laundry and finds Alisons bra, which is huge and seems funny to him and Jake. Alison comes in on their joking and is pissed. Seems she is sensitive about her boobs, cause her mother had breast cancer. 1.12 Polluted Affairs (10/21/92) Alison meets a guy, namely Keith, and immediately falls for him, even neglecting her work and getting some stress from her chief. Then she finds out that Keith is married and first dumps him but then goes back. Billy has some stress with a student loan that he took although his college tuition was paid by his parents. He wants them to pay him off, but finally he decides to do it alone. 1.13 Dreams come true (10/28/92) Alison still goes for Keith, although she is under some stress from her conscience and her friends cause he is married. She gets some major stress at work for beeing late and leaving early but then her boss is a woman, too, and seems understanding. Nevertheless, Alison decides rationally to break up, but then revises when Keith declares his love and that he will leave his wife. Matt is beaten up in the dark and Jake persuades him to report to the police and so an investigator shows up at his work. His boss finds out that Matt is gay and fires him. Again Jake persuades him and he decides to sue his former boss. Sandy is being discovered by an talent seeker for a famous TV show from New York and flies off to the east coast, leaving Melrose for ever. 1.14 Drawing the Line (11/04/92) Keith's wife shows up, and although he reassures Alison that he will divorce, she wants suddenly to break up, what is also strongly recommended by Jane, who has no faith in betraying husbands. Rhonda has found a new rommate, but she is overly hygenic and comes onto Rhonda very hard so she kicks her out. Matt wants to hire a lawyer for suing his former boss but has problems to pay her the required advance $5000. He tries borrowing from his parents, working for, selling his car, but then the lawyer offers to do it without charge, for publicity only. 1.15 House of God (11/11/92) A replacement for Sandy is found: Jo, who doesn't want to share an appartment with Rhonda and so gets the whole thing while Rhonda moves to a single appartment which just happens to be free. Alison is still suffering from her just finished affair with Keith. She makes friends with Jo, who appears to be in a similar situation, having just left her husband in New York. At Shooters they play some pool and Jo demonstrates that she's a tuff woman and cool anyway. Billy seems to like her too but doesn't dare to make direct advances. Michael and Jane find a nice doctors couple with whom they share some time. But soon Jane finds out that he beats his wife. Michael hopes for help with his career from him, so he tries to ignore this until the woman begs for help. 1.16 The Whole Truth (11/18/92) Jo appears to be a little bit fucked up, first wants Jakes help to sell a ring which might be stolen, borrows Jakes Bike without asking, being brought back by the police and brushing Jake off when he asks too much. Things come to light when her husband shows up, she opens herself for Jake, figurly speaking. Billy has a sore tooth and Alison convinces him to get it checked. He gets back high on medication and has some hot dreams revolving around Alison. Jane drops her job as salesclerk and moves up to designer at a prestigous company. Matt continues his legal thread and discovers that his job is more important to him than the money. 1.17 Jake vs. Jake (11/25/92) Alison gets sick and it turns out she has a tumor and needs an operation. She has no insurance and not enough money to pay herself. She and Billy ask about every hospital in the town, but can't find a solution. In the end Mike finds a place for her. Jake gets visited by an former girlfriend. She informs him that she has got a kid from him, but now wants his permission to get it adopted by her husband. Jake doesn't want to give up fatherhood first, but in the end agrees with her. Rhonda meets Terrance Haggard and immediately starts dating him. 1.18 A Melrose Place Christmas (12/16/92) Alison gets her operation and everything is OK again. She may go home immediately, but Billy has to care for her - and gets overprotective. Both discover that they may have feelings beyond friendship for each other. Jo overcomes her aversion against Christmas and enjoys the party with all the residents. Jake tries to get intimate with her, but she delays this. Rhonda goes for skiing to Espen with Terrance. Matt makes up with his father. 1.19 Single White Sister (01/06/93) Jane's sister Sydney shows up for a surprise visit and gets on Jane's nerves. She follows her to work and makes friends with Kay. Rhonda and Terrance have a crisis about their social differences but then he proposes to her. Alison has problems to find a companion for an business party and meets an old friend of Billy - but Billy disses him. Jo and Jake have a crisis because she won't accept his motorbike as a present. 1.20 Peanut Butter and Jealousy (01/13/93) Jo meets her husband, who after first being nice shows his old drunken self. Jo wants the divorce. Jake has problems to keep distant to Jo while her husband is there. Jane's and Sydney's conflict escalates to an almost ruined surprise party for Jane's birthday and Sydneys Goodbye. Alison leaves a business party with a guy and makes Billy jealous. 1.21 Picture Imperfect (01/27/93) Alison is promoted to junior account executive and shall be aided by her new collegue Amanda. She has to to find a photographer for an underwear account and comes up with Jo, who does very professional, but shoots a little daring, say frontal male nude, photos which do not exactly please the client. Billy tries a blind date arranged by Michael but is annoyed and wants to get rid of her. Terrence prensents Rhonda what he thinks they should live in when they are married. This goes way too fast for her, so she even considers breaking up. 1.22 Three's a Crowd (02/03/93) Amanda invites Alison and Billy to her parent's sea house for the weekend. Soon Alison has to worry, if Amanda's love interests may impair the working atmosphere at D&D or even worse - leave her back jealous. Rhonda and Terrance reconcile with a little bit of Matt's help. Jo and Jake decide to get _really_ close. 1.23 My New Partner (02/10/93) Keith is back, freshly divorced, but Alison shows him a cold shoulder, is much more concerned about Amanda and Billy. Only the audience already sees that Keith goes psycho. Alison gets flowers at work - a black rose draped with the word `whore'. Wonder who that was. Amanda is visited by her father and proudly presents Billy. But her old man seems not so fascinated of his character and even less of his jobs. 1.24 Bye Bye Billy (02/17/93) Alison gets attaked from behind and hit hard on the head. But Billy is not there to help her while she lays sick at home, he is always at Amanda's and preparing to move in with her. Only we (the viewers) already know, that it was psychopatic Keith who attacked Alison. He even visits her in the hospital with a big bunch of flowers, what comforts her. 1.25 Irreconcilable Similarities (03/03/93) 1.26 End Game (03/24/93) Billies father dies, what makes him drive home to Seattle and suddenly discover, how much he loved him. This makes him very depressed. So Alison shows up and comforts him. 1.27 The Test (03/31/93) Jake gets visited from a long gone ex-girlfriend, who tells him that she has AIDS. Obviously Jake had unprotected sex with Jo, so tells her about it and both are very worried, make an AIDS test and everything is OK. 1.28 Pushing Boundaries (04/07/93) 1.29 Pas de Trois (04/28/93) 1.30 Carpe Diem (05/05/93) Just when Alison and Billy finally have come together, literally, Amanda comes with the news that she is pregnant. Billy wants to be responsible and takes care of Amanda very much, what makes of course Alison jealous. Suddenly Amanda turns out to have an in-tube-pregnancy (or whatever) and loses the baby. Again Billy is much more caring than Alison would like to see. 1.31 State of Need (05/12/93) 1.32 Suspicious Minds (05/26/93, season finale) Rhonda proposes to Terrence and the restaurant didn't give him the fortune cookie with the proposal in it, so she has to just ask him to marry her. Jane tells Kimberly that if the affair wasn't over she could have him. Jane wants a divorce. Keith goes psycho and beats the living stars out of Billy, and starts to send those nasty things to Alison. Jo gets arrested for carrying a concealed weapon. Jake and Jo try to decide whether or not to live together. Note: Some of this is done from memory, so there might be faults, especially in the placement of subplots. Corrections and additions are welcome, just mail 'em along. _________________________________________________________________ Overview second season ====================== 2.01 Much Ado About Everything (09-08-93) Amanda throws a party at Melrose to celebrate the purchase of Melrose Place. She shifts her sexual interests from Billy to Jake, much to Jo's anger. Nervertheless the two love birds decide to move together. Jane and Michael are still in divorcing process. Jane decides to lay her hands on Michaels future earnings, since she supported his studies. Alison receives another hate phone call and Keith appears right in time to comfort the sobbing Alison. However she keeps with Billy and insists on Keith's departure, makes him hit himself on the head and claim it would have been the stalker. Billy although gets suspicious and pays him a visit. 2.02 Long Night's Journey (09-15-93) Alison still doesn't believe Billies accusations, so she goes on a last date with Keith. He attacks her and she can hardly flee. They go to the police, but there's not enough prove. Billy swears revenge. Matt looses his job cause the Halfway House gets closed. Michael gets him a job in the hospital. Michael wants to deny his affair with Kimberly to safe his earnigs before Jane. Amanda still dredges Jake and Sidney starts the same game with Michael. Jo is pissed. 2.03 Revenge (09-22-93) Billy goes to Seattle and threatens Keith - what impresses him so much that he shoots himself during a phone call to Alison (no body is shown - he still might come back, you never know). Alison freaks out and develops a bad drinking practice. Despite of Kim, Sidney still slimes onto Michael, even does his laundry. Amanda watches Jake in a motocycle race and Jo's pictures taken there. She suddenly realizes, that he's the one and only model for her beer campaign. He's not so shure though. 2.04 Fire Power (09-29-93) Jake has some problems in selling bikes and paying taxes and bills. And suddenly his bike shop burns - while he's pouring one with Amanda. His insurance is asking many questions - and so does Jo. Alison still suffers under the sudden loss of Keith and falls for alcohol. Jane dates Sam, an ex-friend of Michael, but she isn't yet interested in a relation, although he makes some offers. Michael tries to beat Sam up. 2.05 Of Bikes and Men (10-06-93) Michael tries to make Jane responsible for their breakup, saying she had an affair with Sam. He tries to cover his affair with Kimberly, but she can't stand the pressure. When Jake realizes that he caused the fire by himself and feels a lack of sympathy from Jo, he gets very upset and smashes the fridge. Jo draws the consequences. Matt is invited by a (female) doctor, and he tells her quite late on that evening that he is gay. They have a good time together anyway. Billy shall do an article about a famous hotel. He's invited for the weekend and brings Alison, uninvitedly. While Alison has to hide at their room, the manager's daughter tries to seduce Billy. 2.06 Hot and Bothered (10-13-93) Back in his old appartment, Jake at first feels lonely. Conflicts with Jo arise during the photo shoots for the ad. Katya offers Matt $1000 to marry him and keep her from Russia. Michael finally signes divorce papers, but swears revenge. First he throws a big party, and invites all of Jane's friends. It's a success, but Kim is jealous. Sydney sleeps totally drunk at Michael's and presents him her bare self in the morning. Meanwhile Jane accepts an intimate offer from her divorce lawyer Robert. 2.07 Flirting With Disaster (10-20-93) Jane assures Robert of her love and kicks Sydney out, because she was at Mike's party. Amanda gives her apt. no. 7 instead. Matt accepts Katya's proposal, but not her money. On the celebration, Amanda gets heavily drunk and makes moves on Jake. While Kimberly is gone for a weekend, Sydney visits Michael and stays over night. Amanda has Alison to propose a campaign strategy to a difficlut new client, Steve, with only one day preparation. First she fails, but after an accident and more private talk he likes her concept. 2.08 No Bed of Roses (10-27-93) Alison likes Steve alot, but doesn't dare to show it because of Billy, who nevertheless gets jealous at all the time she spends with Steve. For a substitute Steve goes out with Jo. Jake is now with Amanda and she gets him a job as manager at her father'ss car shop. The father doesn't think too much of him, but by seducive persuation of Amanda Jake takes the job and $15.000 in advance, which he uses to pay back Jo against her will. Jo is shocked when she realizes that Jake is no longer interested in her. Michael's affair with Sydney doesn't let him time for Kimberly, so he tries to break it off, but this make Sydney go ballistic. Jane establishes her relation to Robert by further dates, but cancels a weekend trip. 2.09 Married to It (11-03-93) Kimberly finds out about Michael and Sydney, breaks up and snitches on them to Jane. Jane can't believe it first and doesn't want to fraternize with Kimberly, but upon questioning Sydney she decides to not have a sister anymore. Michael doesn't leave the appartment on Kimberly's request, so she moves out. Michael again tries to get rid of Sydney. The INS wants to pay Matt and Katya a visit, so she has to move in with him, right on the day when Matt has a date with an arts galerie owner. Joel breaks up with him, because Matt keeps on phoning home to Katya, but at least the INS buys their story. 2.10 The Tangled Web (11-10-93) Billy, Alison, Jo and Steve spend a weekend on his ranch. Jo and Steve decide not to intensify their relationship cause they both really love someone else. In the case of Steve this seems to be Alison, who he even tries to kiss, with weak resitance from her. Jake has lunch with Amanda's father and suspects, that there is something wrong with his business, but he practically ignores this question. He also sees, that his relation to Amanda is merely based on sex. Michael tries to win Kimberly back, or at least keep her working at the hospital. 2.11 Collision Course (11-17-93) Michael and Kimberly make up, she accepts his proposal while driving home from dinner, but he is drunk and they have a severe accident. Doubtful if Kimberly will make it. Michael convinces Matt to change his blood alcohol test results. Jane and Jo try to talk Alison out of her thing for Steve, but she ignores them. Billy deletes an email from Steve to Alison. Sydney is invited to a party where she is expected to sleep with a director for money. She is stunned, angry and flees. 2.12 Cold Turkey (11-24-93) Jake learns that Palmer sells reproduced cars as originals and makes big bucks with it. Then he is confronted by FBI. They tell him to cooperate in nailing Palmer or they will nail him instead. Sydney asks Lauren about the party the other day and gets offered a job as hooker., which she doesn't accept at once, but she seems to be persuadable. Billy sets Alison under pressure to end up her connections to Steve, but she doesn't agree. She has to fly to SF for business and Steve follows her and they party in her hotel room, what Billy finds out whith a phone call. 2.13 Duet for One (12-01-93) Returning from SF, Alison finds Billy moving out and over to Jake. Sydney accepts Lauren's job offer cause she needs the modey for the rent, and soon does her first job. She cries in the shower afterwards and gets cocaine from Lauren to cover this problem. Katya leaves Matt with Nikky while she has to leave to Russia to visit her sick mother. Jake is still in helping to bust Amanda's father and avoids her. Kimberly seems to have died, what instensifies the BAC conflict between Matt and Mike. Jane brings Michael to rehabilitation center, who is confined now to a wheelchair, but her conscience tells her not to dump him off but to get him home. He is acting out his pain. 2.14 Strange Bedfellows (12-15-93) Billy and his colleague Celia get assigned an article on video dating. Alison gets a jeep as gift from Steve and visits him on his ranch. After some making out she breaks up with him, he leaves to Europe. Michael attempts further manipulation of Jane, but she insists on seperate lives, goes out with Robert. Sydney takes the occasion to torment Michael, when he's fallen and can't get up. Amanda's dad is busted upon a confession he makes to a wired Jake. Amanda blames Jake for it, tries to throw him out of the building. Billy and Amanda meet at the trashcans and have wild sex in her apartment. 2.15 Under the Mistletoe (12-22-93) Billy wakes up at Amanda's and creeps out, so nobody will see him. He and Alison make up again under mistletoe. Michael tries to break up Janes and Roberts relationship by an overly nice approach to Jane. Sydney confesses her messed up life to a priest and tells Lauren that she quits hooking. Then it's Christmas and everyone goes at the big party that Matt arranges for Nikky. Katya calls and says that she will stay in Russia for longer and Nikky has to go east. 2.16 Reunion Blues (01-05-94) Sydney gets offered $2000 from a guy for a lie and takes it. Appears it was an undercover police officer and she gets busted. Michael bails her out and demands for keeping this secret her help in breaking Jane and Robert up. Palmer confesses to Amanda, and she makes up with Jake again. Jo meets an long lost boyfriend Reed during a high school reunion. He was in jail for drug traficking but says he was innocent, now he goes after Jo. 2.17 Michael's Game (01-12-94) Sydney buys Robert a prostitute who seduces him during a conference in San Diego, taping this on video. Jane receives the tape in an envelope and watches it just when Robert is there; she throws him out, although she correctly suspects Michael behind it. Reed invites Jo to a romantic dinner on his boat, for desert is love. Amanda makes up with Jake and goes on vacation to Hawai with him. Alison takes over an account of hers and prooves she can do it even better. Amanda feels threatened and cancels the holiday. 2.18 Arousing Suspicion (01-26-94) Sydney wants Michael at her court date. He blows her rudely off, so she tells Jane a story that he blackmailed her into prostitution and Jane finally throws him out. He moves back to Kimberly's beach house and downs some more painkillers. The charges against Sydney are dropped. Matt has a date with Jeff, who first doesn't tell a thing about himself, but later on the threat of Matt leaving reveals that he is a Navy Lt. and has not come out yet. Reed makes some more love to Jo and demonstrates that he has something to fear, since he has a big gun always in reach. Celia moves in with Alison and Billy while her apartment is fumigated. She's a hell of a roommate. The article Celia and Billy wrote is pleasing and one of them may advance to junior editor. After some competition Billy gets offered a job in New York. 2.19 The Young Men and the Sea (02-02-94) Michael tries hard to make up with Jane, but only gets a restraining order against his permanent phone calls. He downs too much painkillers and passes out in the bathroom. Reed buys the boat with financial help of Amanda and Jo and Jake as mechanic, says he makes cruises. He gives Jo a suitcase to store in her appartment and she goes through it, cause she suspects something, but doesn't find a thing. Billy prepares to leave for New York and wants Alison to come with him, but she wants to stay with her career in L.A. They plan to have a long distance relationship. Matt confronts Jeff and they decide to change his life for better with the help of Matt. They are happy together for now. 2.20 Parting Glances (02-09-94) Matt helps Jeffrey in coming out, to the effect that he gets transferred to the East Coast and they hug and split. Michael tells Sydeny about the blood record changing while he's in delerium. Jo again gets curious and explores the contents under the trap door in Reed's boat. He sees her, locks her into the trap and sets sails. Billy and Alison practice their long distance relationship via telephone. He invites a woman to show her his great apartment, but Alison jumps in for a surprise visit and assumes the worst, announces to quit New York immediately. 2.21 Swept Away (02-16-94) Sydney starts blackmailing Michael with the BAC thing. Against his will she moves in with him and announces herself as his girlfriend to his colleagues. Billy and Alison break up over her not moving to New York. He buys a ring and proposes to her. Jo shoots Reed. The police find her with the body on the boat and arrest her for murder. 2.22 With This Ball and Chain (02-23-94) Jo is in jail and shall tell about the drug affair, what she can't. But then Amanda bails her out and later the charges are dropped. Alison accepts Billies proposal. Amanda tells Alison about her night with Billy, but they decide not to break up, since Alison saw the same temptation with Steve and it's all past and cheese. Sydney continues to make Michaels live a hell and spends lot of his money to redecorate his apartment. 2.23 Otherwise Engaged (03-02-94) Amanda points out to Alison, that it's a quite cheap ring that Billy bought her, so he has to buy her a "rock". Jo notices that she is pregnant with Reed's baby and considers to have an abortion. After a mandatory 24 hours waiting period she decides to keep it. Sydney plans hers and Michael's wedding. Jane's mom tries to talk her out of it, but earns only insults. Nobody besides the best man Matt shows up at the wedding. Michael dreams of murdering Sydney and invites her to a vacation afterwords. Matt is worried. 2.24 Love, Mancini Style (03-16-94) Matt is worried about Sydney and follows the pair in their honeymoon. But Michael can't kill Sydney, so Matt and the police find a happy couple. Matt confesses to Jane and she uses this to blackmail Syd and Michael, has them stay together forever. Jo keeps seeing Reed's picture in her mind, so she visits his grave and makes up with his ghost. Jake and Amanda have sex in her office. Alison decides not to do it with Billy until the wedding, because he doesn't show enough interest in the wedding preparations. 2.25 Two Mrs. Mancinis (03-23-94) Jane's Grandmom dies. First Sydney doesn't want to come to the funeral, but Michael hears that Jane shall get $100.000 and goes out after the money. Jo finds a nice man but he quits when he hears about her child. Alison visits her father while his 50th birthday party. They seem to have an inhibited relationship. Billy follows her and tells about their engagement against her will. Back home, Alisons starts having nightmares. 2.26 In Bed With the Enemy (04-06-94) Amanda hires a handyman, but he's seen coming out of various lady's bedrooms, so she fires him. He comes back, though, and peeps through a hole in Amanda's shower. Alison has nightmares of being locked as a child. She sees a psychatrist without telling Billy. Jane desperately needs the money from her Gran, so she makes a deal with Michael, he'll be an inverstor in her new opened business. Sydney goes crazy over this and attacks the furniture. Then she hears that Lauren got arrested and arranges to take over her hooker business. 2.27 Psycho Therapy (04-20-94) Alison goes out with her psychologist and believes that he is coming onto her. Amanda and Jo find the handyman spying on them and Amanda locks him up to menace him with knives. Michael finds the name of his supervisor in Sydneys clients book and uses this information to blackmail him. He gets new chief resident and Matt a promotion. At the end of the show we see someone coming back from the dead... 2.28 The Bitch Is Back (04-27-94) Kimberly is back again and gets back into Michaels live. She makes him dump Sydney, who moves back into MP. Alison's parents hire a wedding consultant, but she gets fired when she doesn't respect the pair's wishes at all. Amanda fires a model, just becaus she's of her mother's agency. 2.29 Imperfect Strangers (05-04-94) Lauren is free from jail and requires a larger profit margin from Sydney than she expected. She becomes a topless dancer to get the $15.000. The models Sarah goes on a photo shoot with Jo and they come back late. Her boy friends beats her and she moves in with Jo. Hank throws Jo down the stairs. Amanda hires Chaz as junior exec, but he shoves all work onto Alison. Amanda and Chaz kiss in her office. 2.30 Devil With the G-String On (05-11-94) Jake comforts Jo in the hospital much to Amanda's anger and beats Hank out of town. Michael takes Billy and the others to a strip bar for Billies bachelor party and they meet Sydney in her first on-stage appearance. She drops her job again. Kimberly finds out about Jane's cheating on Michael. Michael looses his position as chief resident by Kimberly's scheming. 2.31 'Til Death Do Us Part (05-18-94, double feature season finale) Chaz is sueing Amanda for sexual herassment. Jake sleeps one last time with Amanda, what makes Jo giving up on him. Matt hits on the best man of Billy, who is surprisingly gay, and probably kisses him. Alison suddenly remembers what her nightmares were about and flees from the wedding and her child molesting dad to her sister Meredith in SF. Sydney tries to make money as street hooker and gets beaten up. Kimberly and Sydney try to off Michael, but Jane saves his live. Next morning someone who looks like Jane hits Michael with his car... _________________________________________________________________ Overview third season ===================== 3.01 I Am Curious Melrose (09-12-94) Billy learns about the reason Alison fled from the wedding and follows her to San Francisco. He arrives right when Mr. Parker threatens his daughters. Alison decides to sue him, against Billy's wishes, so Billy leaves her. Michael wakes up after his operation with an amnesia, so he can't tell who ran him over. Jane gets released from jail when Sydney gets under suspect. When the police finds the wig that Kimberly planted in Syd's apartment, she gets arrested. Jake leaves Amanda. He saves a woman (Kathy Ireland) from drowning in the ocean, and she immediately seeks to stay with him, preferrably in touch. 3.02 It's a Bad World After All (09-19-94) Sydney tries to convince the police that Kimberly attempted to kill Michael, but no one, not even her father, believes her. Her father thinks she's gone nuts and sends her to a sanatorium. Kimberly cares lovingly for Michael and assures that he's kept in belief that they always were a sparkling couple. Alison goes to court against her father in his home town , but her sister rejects any help, so she fails. But on a picknic the truth finds it's way. Billy helps D&D with some inside tips to get an ad account from his paper - so they fire him. Amanda offers him a job as senior copywriter at D&D. 3.03 In-Laws and Outlaw (09-26-94) Jake tries to get rid of Brittany, or to keep her out of his bed at least. He doesn't know yet that she's sent by Amanda's father, who wishes him the very worst. Kimberley's attempts to isolate Michael fail, when Matt visits him with Jane at home to sign some papers. Matt finds out that Kim uses wigs and confronts her with his resulting new murder theory. Sydney suffers in mental hospital, but gets released after confessing the attempted murder. Reed's parents show up at Jo's and ask many questions about her unborn child. Alison and Billy's relationship suffers even more from being workmates, with the consequence that he moves out and into a free apartment in MP, offered by Amanda. 3.04 Grand Delusions (10-03-94) Palmer Woodward urges Amanda to hide him and help him get his money from the bank. Jake learns about Brittany's part in the game, when she and Palmer kidnap him on his boat. However Brit decides to keep all the money herself and makes an explosive exit. Amanda promises to make Alison's live a living hell. She starts with fueling her conflict with Billy at D&D. Reed's parents sue for custody of Jo's baby, say she's cold blooded murderer. Sydney moves in with Jane - and gets more than expected attention from Jane's boyfriend Chris. Nevertheless she gets in contact with still amnesiac Michael and tries to seduce him. However after he regains his memory, he comes back on her and has her give information on Kimberly. Back home he confronts Kimberly about the attempted murder. 3.05 Non-Sexual Healing (10-10-94) The Coast Guard finds Jake floating on the sea on some wreckage of his boat. He's well enough to return to MP the same day and tell Amanda about her father's terrible fate. Jo has a hard time to accept being unimportant to Jake and has an argument with him, that makes him hit the road. Matt tries to warn Michael of Kim, but he wants to stay with her - and the divorce from Sydney. Jane has the idea to get him give his share of her business, but Michael plays a trick on Syd. Billy gets a new assistant, Elizabeth, and sees in her an Alison 2 years ago. They start dating, despite Alisons accusations of unprofessionalism. 3.06 No Strings Attached (10-17-94) The hospital has a new Chief of Staff, Peter Burns. He introduces himself to Michael and Kimberly and makes clear that he'll take no crap from them. Jake has moved out and visits his father, wants to matter to him. However he has to realize that he won't accept him as son because he never told his wife about him. Alison complains about Elizabeth at Amanda and gets her fired. She meets a guy at Shooters and they get really close really fast - but short, to Alison's surprise. Chris and with Jane sleep together, but have no sex. Instead he makes obscene phone calls and presents to Sydney. Jane doesn't believe her when she tries to tell. 3.07 The Cook, the Creep, His Lover and Her Sister (10-24-94) Jake receives a reward from FBI. Following Amanda's suggestion he buys Shooters. Jane still doesn't believe Sydney, even when Jake confirms after witnessing one of Chris' attacks. Instead she fires her and throws her out. Now without job, her probation officer prepares to send her back to the sanatorium - until Jake and Chris help her out. An old friend of Alison, Susan, arrives and Billy likes her instantly. When Susan can't get the expected job, she moves in with Alison. Jo is worried about her financial situation, but gets a job from Amanda. Dr. Burns wouldn't allow Mike and Kim to appear in an ad campain, but when he meets Amanda, he changes his mind very fast. 3.08 Love Reeks (10-31-94) After Chris tried to rape Sydney, she sleeps at Jake's apartment. Jake does "the right thing", punches him and pushes him into the pool. Sydney shows herself thankful. Chris and Jane go to Vegas to marry, but when Mikes hears about this from Syd, he follows them and breaks it up. Kim persuades Mike to take the occasion and marry themselves. Jane demands to finally have sex, but Chris wouldn't - until he wins big at gambling. Burns fires Michael for leaving his duty without notice. Mike has to fear his career as doctor is finished. Billy makes moves on to Susan and persuades her to ignore Alison. When Alison catches them making out, she throws her out and starts drinking even more heavily. Jo receives a letter from the Carters and breaks down in pain. Kimberly offers her help. 3.09 Dr. Jeckyl Saves His Hide (11-07-94) Syd thinks her night with Jake was a mistake, but Jake insits on a relationship. He stands up for her against Chris and Jane. Alison makes up with Susan and stops her from moving out. But when she spots her messing around with Billy in his apartment, she first gets drunk, then insulting and at last aggressive. Susan draws the consequences. Michael asks Amanda to put in a good word for him with Burns but she demands a great price for this. Michael agrees, but manages to turn this against Amanda and gets away for free. Bruce upsets Amanda when he accuses her of unauthorized actions at a business party. Peter suggests her to take things at D&D in their own hands. Matt meets Jeffrey and they assure their love. But then Jeff tells him about his reason to leave the Navy. 3.10 And Justice for None (11-14-94) Alison goes over the edge when she realizes the Billy and Susan not only live together, but are together steadily. After throwing some cookware she seeks ersatz in party king Zach, and takes his lessons. At court, Jo's attourney believes he shouldn't discredit the Carters, but rather show that Jo's a fit mother. However when all of Jo's character witnesses are raked over the coals with incidents from their pasts and Alison, supposed to be godmother, appears late and drunk after a night at the beach with Zach, this turns out desaterous. Kimberly, since married now, wishes to get pregnant. However her gynecologist has bad news for her. Matt considers if he can manage to live with a guy who is HIV positive. Amanda fumes when Bruce is unfair about her work in front of the clients. She starts plotting against him with Peter - and suddenly Bruce suffers an heart attack. 3.11 The Days of Wine and Vodka (11-21-94) Alison keeps hanging out with Zach, denying her drinking problem. Billy and Susan invite her for Thanksgiving to reconcile, but she appears drunk and rambling. She has an accident with her newly purchased car. Jake is visited by an extortionist and gets beaten up when he doesn't pay. Sydney gets an offer to step in for him - and is surprised when she discovers that a well known stalker is behind all this. Kim searches alternatives in becoming a mother. She considers adoption, but that's too expensive. Then she meets Jo, and proposes her a solution for the court verdict. Peter starts the takeover of D&D by anonymously purchasing a large chunk of D&D stock. Amanda hesitates upon realizing the amount of Bruce's loss. Matt's parents invite him to Thanksgiving dinner, but want to introduce Jeff just as friend, so Matt resigns. 3.12 The Doctor That Rocks the Cradle (11-28-94) Alison is arrested for drunken driving after she ran down a boy. She's lucky in court, much more than with an attempt to win back Billy, who claims to be on love with Susan. Instead Zach promises to be there for Alison. Jane gets $500,000 for a business expansion. Instead of depositing the money in the bank, Chris runs off with it. On the way he kidnaps Syd, who isn't displeased any longer when he starts making expensive presents. Amanda shatters Bruce's plan to merge D&D with a big advertising company when she publishes the information. Bruce realizes who betrayed him and fires her. Kim's plan comes to execution when she finds a stillborn baby at the hospital. When Jo delivers a boy, they declare him dead and get rid of Carter's lawyer. However when Jo wants to take her son home, she has to learn about Kim's real motives. 3.13 Just Say No (12-05-94) Jo tries desperately to get hold of her baby. But since it's officially dead, Kim succeeds to get her regarded as insane and can play mother herself. Syd learns to enjoy her imprisonment in Vegas and plays along - until she knowns it's Jane's money Chris is gambling away. She informs Jake, who has a hard time to believe in a case of kidnapping at all. When Jane realizes she's lost almost all of the money, she seeks distraction in Michael. Bruce creates a new management team including Alison. However this lasts no longer than when the takeover majority holders install their favourite top manager. Bruce can't cope with his loss. Billy is promoted over Alison and is given an especially hard task. Alison spots Susan and Billy celebrating his promotion and flips out again. Matt advises Billy to get her professional help. 3.14 Sex, Drugs and Rockin' the Cradle (12-12-94) Mike wants to continue his Las Vegas experience with Jane, but earns just scorn - and an ultimatum by Kimberly. Jo persuades Mike to do a blood test on her baby that convinces him it's her child. However Mike still wants to keep the baby and grants Jo the role of an aunt. Peter's attitude towards Amanda changes into possesive and maniputalive, much to Amanda's anger. She decides to cool down the relationship. Alison finally turns up on herself at the rehab center Twin Oaks and thus prevents Billy from having to fire her. She meets sex-addict Terry and after some starting problems he helps her to recognize her problem and starting to recover. Billy demonstrates to Susan that being there for Alison is more important to him that spending time with her, so she curses and leaves him. Jake reacts ice cold when Sydney tells him about her deal with Chris. Jeff's still unsure about moving in with Matt. 3.15 Holiday on Ice (12-19-94) Matt proves the baby theft to Peter with gathered hospital records - so Jo gets her most wanted Christmas present. Kim believes the child was more important to her than her life, and heads off for the ocean. A Chistmas Carol: Amanda is mean to Alison and Bruce's sister, who asks for financial support. But when Bruce's ghost appears and demonstrates how dull her life actually is, she tries to make up with everybody - but one. Jeff decides to enjoy life, as long as he's able to, makes Matt expensive gifts. However Matt can't cope with this style of living.
