b2a0tAWD: ProductiontRokDaZonethps1f2c07 Generation Awards'97 Entry and Best Alternative Production Pricegiving f1c08 by RokDaZone/Endzeit c10f4 "We have warned you, but you just wouldn't listen." f1c09Fog curls over the dark blue illuminated stage, when the deep voice brandishes over the mass of spectators. Numerous dazzling bright single seekerlights roam over the scenary, cutting the smoke into frictious patterns. 10:00 p.m.; the Generation Awards'97 Gala show tosses off dramatically. c10f4 "Presenting to you proudly, the core of the gathered Amiga Scene. We asked for your voice. You gave it to us." f1c09A sudden slam of a clustersound breaks into the silence, followed by glittering TB-303 highpitched bass-scrambles. Ventilators breath away the smoke and a shape of about 1.90 metres holding something high above his head suddenly appears on stage. c10f4 "Never a stop, Generation is here and do we have news for you!" f1c09A laserbeam catches the object the mysterious person helds high and which turns out to be a mosaic of small mirrors. Cascades of single razorlike light tractors display into the crowd. f4c10 "Here we G.O. again!" f1c09An explosion brushes up. Shaking, trembling. A new wave of fog crams from the right onto the stage, bringing with it another shape. A massive shadow of 1.85 metres height appears. f4c10 "Nineteenninetyseven. We are here in this holy cave today to celebrate. The reincarnation of Amiga arts!" f1c09The sudden light is omnipotent. Batteries of neonlights dazzle the viewer. When the light dims down to a flourescent sea of brightness, the first shape gets fully visual. RokDaZone stands upright directed to the masses, bending around a microphone: f4c08 "Welcome to the shooooooooow!" f1c09Another flash followed by a weakly timed fireworks explosion and Damion - the second appearing shadow - heads towards the frontend of the stage. f4c10 "Lamies and animals! We feel honoured and pleased to call you welcome to the first ever SceneAward show." f1c09The big German grins into the masses. Well overdressed with a smoking, one hand into his pocket, the other holding nervously a microphone; he waits for a second. RokDaZone wrongly sensing an unwanted break hurries to disturb the rhethoric break: f4c10 "After quite a long silence, we finally come to reveal the results of the Generation Award polls which we have handed out in the forefield to all the Sceners around. The immediate and massive response showed us that this was exactly what you expected from us." f1c09With a short but strict movement of his hand Damion prevented the also elegantly but in leather dressed RokDaZone from continueing his monologue. f4c10 "The best of nine different categories, chosen out of five nominees, themselves chosen from the mass of possible winners, will be awarded this eveing. We are quite proud to have found a quite impressive number of VIS to host the show and we hereby declare the gala opened with the winner of the best independent production of 1997." f1c08 The First Award Handed out c09RokDaZone takes over the word again. c10f4 "Yet before we lose more unnecessary words, please welcome the host of this first Award, to be ever given to a Scener. Ladies and Gentleman, please applaude for Laxical of Scoopex and Clary of Drifters!" f1c09X-Ceed/Endzeit had the honour to compose all the trailers and musics for this evening and now his "Hosts enter stage"-harmony invites the french Sceness and the german musician to the stage. Clary in a simple but stylish long robe - quite an unusual sight for Sceners. Laxical, the selfannouced king of pornomusic is dressed in a black suit and black trenchcoat. He himself keeps a pokerface and lights a cigarette, while the woman to his side excitedly waves hello with a widened laughter to the audience. f4c10 "It's real exciting to be here!"f1c09 she startsf4c10 "All those big VIS are here and all are waiting, eeeh, for the awards and now we can start with, eeeh, the award for the best production. Aaaand... Laxical why don't you say something?" f1c09The german stucks, looking for a moment irritated, then catching his path again: f4c10 "Well, I just have to say one thing now."f1c09 Pause. f4c10"Hello, mummy!" f1c09While huge parts of the crowd still yell and bark for amusement, Clary took back the microphone. f4c10 "The nominees for the Best alternative production of 1997 are: c07-c08 'Dream or Reality' c09slideshow by c08Unreal of Faculty & Nah-Kolor, c07-c08 'Trilobyte' c09the soundcollection by c08Nuance, c07-c08 'Splinters'c09 byc08 Mystic, c07-c08 'Impressions' c09another soundcolly this time from c08Oops! and c07-c08 'Speed' c09the packdiskseries by c08Nah-Kolor." f1c09Without loosing any unnecessary words more, Laxical throws his cigarette on the floor and rips open the envelope with the results. With Clary looking over his shoulder, he opens the card and reveals the first Generation Award. c10f4 "And the winner is... c08'Dream or Reality'c10 byc09 Faculty and Nah-kolorc10!" c09Unreal of Faculty and Nah-kolor now gets visible on the bigscreens. His mouth opened, he looks at a Scener to his side, while the applause sets in. His mouth forms a word which can not be heard, only be seen, but still everyone could read what he said: c10f4 "WHAT?!" f1c09Slowly he gets up from his seat, tightening his suit around his belly. A fine grin plays around his lips and slowly first, then getting faster he heads towards the stage, were Clary still hopps around excitedly and even Laxical, so far a master of coolness laughs now and waves Unreal to come over. A kiss from Clary, a straight handshake from Laxical and Unreal closes his fingers around the Generation Award trophy, which has been designed by Tassle and sponsored by Amiga International. He looks at it for a moment and then takes over the microphone: c10f4 "I like thanks for all people, who is voted for my products, but I think I'm undeserved for the awards, the Rendall slide is better than my work. But the Dream Or Reality is good for a test, and I'm respect for Fishwave's article (Seenpoint#7), because he is opened my eye with his article, I'm working on my pictures more than ago. Big thanks, Fishwave, for my all friends who is supported my work, to Snotty and Steve, who is performed the music, and coded this production. Greetz to everyone on the world! Visit my work in 1998!" f1c09A last wave with the Award and Unreal leaves the stage again together with his two hosts, while pictures from his slideshow are displayed on the bigscreen. The first ever Scene Award has been handed out. Eight more are to follow this evening. c08f3aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa c07f1Thanks to Unreal for his selfdescriptive help. c08f3aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
